Famous for more than thirty years of Legendary Tex-Mex, Pappasito's Cantina is known for the flavor, freshness and quality of their food and drinks! Pappasito's Cantina serves up succulent, sizzling fajitas, hand-crafted drinks and some of the best chips and homemade salsa around.
The nostalgia I get from going into Papasito’s is something special—from the waterfall out front to the house-made tortillas. It’s been a place my family has loved for over 25 years, a constant for celebrations, traditions, and everyday meals alike. They’ve always delivered, which is why this visit felt so disappointing. From the start, things were off. The chips we were served were soft, undercooked, and tasted more like oil than anything else. The drinks were fine, but nothing memorable. We ordered the fajitas for two with beef, chicken, and pork, and that’s where the experience really fell apart. The pork seemed like a low-quality cut, the beef portions were noticeably small, and the chicken didn’t even feel like fajitas—it was just thrown on the plate without proper preparation. When I order fajitas, I expect them to be prepared and presented as such, not a mix of loosely assembled meats. The portions overall were disappointing. There wasn’t nearly enough guacamole or pico de gallo for two people—barely enough to make a few tacos. The rice portion felt like it was meant for one, not two. On top of that, everything arrived cold, including the tortillas—which is especially frustrating considering they’re made fresh right in front of you. For a $70 meal (before tip), the value simply wasn’t there. What we received didn’t feel like it could even satisfy one person, let alone two. It’s disheartening to see the quality and attention to detail decline at a place that has meant so much to my family for so long. We’ve been loyal to Papasito’s across Texas for decades, and it used to be a restaurant I was proud to bring family and friends to. While we may still return, it doesn’t carry the same weight it once did. I truly hope they can return to the standards that made them so special in the first place.

Pappasito’s never disappoints! The fajitas were sizzling and perfectly seasoned, the tortillas fresh, and the service warm and attentive. Great atmosphere, generous portions, and bold flavors make it a go-to spot every time!!

We loved this place. It was super busy but still no wait. We had excellent food. The fajitas are no joke. Portions are Texas-sized. Our service was amazing. The restaurant vibe is awesome and we really enjoyed the experience!

The food was just okay for how expensive the meals are. My food arrived after my table had already received theirs and already eating. I ordered a combination plate. I had to ask for items that weren't delivered. Also the tamale that was included hardly had any meat and when I cut into it several large chunks of fat poured out. Obviously I didn't eat it. I told the waiter when he took my plate, that it was not good and there was nothing but fat. He didn't really say anything about it. Probably won't go back to Pappasito's. There are much better places with better food at more affordable prices.

Wasn’t seated. Walked in on a weekday around 5pm. There were 4 high school-aged girls standing around at the hostess stand doing absolutely nothing. Wouldn’t speak to our party, just talked amongst themselves and played on their phones. Horrible management at this location; even worse employees.
