Showed up for a lunch date with my GF. Was really looking forward to Panera. Showed up around lunch time and it was busy. First thing we noticed, after self ordering at the kiosk, was that the restaurant was packed, yet no one had their food. Only a couple of tables. Long story short, we waited for about 25 minutes before reading the reviews and decided to get a refund and leave. Even trying to get a refund was a nightmare.
Couldn’t even get a manager of the store to actually process the refund. It was something I’ve never experienced at a fast food restaurant before. Not even Taco Bell. lol.
Will not go back.
Want to shout out to Danny for giving the best customer service I haven't had in a long time. She took the time to call me when a sandwich was not put in my order after my husband had picked up the order. She was great on rectifying the issue...and we were very pleased with the results. . My husband said he'll be a steady life long customer. Thanks again Danny/Dani in Crowley for your professionalism and great customer service. 👍🏻
Get it together, Panera! We have been waiting for you guys to open, however you have been nothing but a huge disappointment!
To the manager of this location -- if you don't turn this around quickly, you will be out of business. Opening day was a disaster. The app doesn't work correctly. You're out of lettuce when I want a salad. You serve me a breakfast sandwich with HOT, slimy tomatoes. What???
The entire experience has been dismal. We had high hopes for this new location. Not anymore.
DO NOT RECOMMEND! 😡

I was so excited for Panera to open but ultimately met with only disappointment and can not comprehend how bad my experience has been.
If you are familiar with the shops at Chisholm Trail you should know that the whataburger has exceptional and quicker service than this Panera.
Starting off with opening day. They promoted that at 6am the first 100 people get free pick two meals for a year. I got there at 5:30 am to wait in line. 6 am comes around and we still hadn’t received the coupon. Around 6:45 am they tell us that they weren’t giving them out until 7 so they just went ahead and gave them to everyone already waiting.
For starters the “pick two” for a year is only redeemable once a month for 12 months…. Day zero and they struggled with communication and I and others felt tricked by the promo.
I left to and came back at 8:30 to order breakfast with my daughter. We waited in line for 15 minutes and decided to leave as the line was not progressing.
I returned a few days later with my “pick two for a year”, there was no line and maybe 3 orders on the board. It took 10 minutes to order food, cashier didn’t know where anything was or really how to enter and pay for an order. I presented my coupon and the manager only took $11 off of my order leaving me with a balance. The coupon clearly stated that it covers up to $20 and I had to convince/ argue with her that it’s what the coupon says while showing her what it say on the physical coupon…
I ordered my pick two a drink and dessert. My meal came out over 20 minutes later there was 3 orders ahead and the drive thru was not open. I got my order with no drink or dessert. That was another 10 minute wait to get my other two items.
Today, two days after my last experience I returned. I wanted to give them another try because I do understand that they are a brand new store and they still have their training wheels on.
For starters- I first went inside the store to place an order. There was no one at the register. Then I started my order at the self serve. I was ready to check out and was unable to enter in my coupon code, use my sip+ membership and the scanners are not set up to use scan and pay. So I decided to use the app and do drive thru pick up(again because no one was at the register and I could see other people waiting on orders. I preferred to wait in my car)
I ordered my food on the mobile app at 11:42 am with an estimated drive thru pick up at 11:50 am. I was in the line at 11:43 because I expected a small wait time. What I did not expect is to be trapped in line with no exit and receiving my incorrect order 40 minutes later at 12:20 pm.
My sandwich was poorly prepared and incorrect. I ordered an ice coffee made with almond milk, 3 pumps of vanilla and 1 pump of caramel. I know that my coffee was first made when I placed my order because the ice was almost completely melted. My just like me, my coffee sat for 40 minutes. When I received the coffee there was no almond milk or syrups... just watery coffee. I asked for a fresh coffee made correctly. Instead of a fresh coffee, half of the coffee was poured out and cow milk was added. I am allergic to dairy and based on the smell I don’t think the syrup was added either. All I could do was leave with incorrect items because it was pointless to ask for a fresh order because I’d have to wait again.
I’m very disappointed with the service received. I know the restaurant is newly opened but there needs to be more training and trained staff.

I stopped by this new Panera Bread location on April 9th around 11:45 AM for lunch. Ordering through the app was very easy, and pickup through the drive-thru was smooth. The store itself looks great and clearly has that new, grand opening feel.
That said, the food experience wasn’t quite what I’m used to from Panera.
I ordered the Mexican-style corn chowder in a bread bowl. The soup itself was hot and tasted great, but several other parts of the order were off. The bread bowl was extremely cold, like it had just come out of the refrigerator, and the top wasn’t properly cut, so I had to tear it apart myself. Typically, everything is packaged more cleanly, with the bread handled separately.
The tortilla chips that came with it were crushed into dust, likely from being packed too tightly, and the Asiago twists were completely flattened and cold, almost like something heavy had been sitting on them.
Overall, it just didn’t match the usual Panera experience I’m familiar with. I’m willing to give some grace since this is a new location and they’re likely still working through consistency and processes.
I’ll probably give them another try in the future once things settle in, but this visit was average.
