Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers consistently reported slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with long wait times for food.

As former assistant general managers in the industry before transitioning to retail, we noticed that the service started off well. However, once our order became slightly larger, the customer service at the speaker became noticeably gloomy.
After my husband paid at the window and we received our food, it was apparent that it did not seem freshly made to order. Upon fully checking our order, my husband’s Combo #2 looked unpleasant, as if it had been sitting in a warmer waiting to be used. Additionally, the Combo #12 that was ordered ended up being a regular Whataburger chicken sandwich instead of the correct item. The fries also tasted old.
Despite the experience, we made the best of it that we could.

Miss Kisha was wonderful. She dealt with our slow, detail-oriented ordering process, perfecting everything that we wanted. and she double checked our order to ensure that it was exactly what we asked for! She was very sweet and went above and beyond to make sure we left satisfied!! We love seeing her when we come in. When she is there, we know we will leave happy!!
