Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

It's so good that other states demanded a taste of the quintessential Texas hamburger. The first Whataburger opened in Corpus Christi, Texas, on August 8, 1950. The first out-of-Texas location opened in Pensacola, Florida, in 1959, leaving about 9 years between founding and out‑of‑state expansion. As of today, Whataburger has locations in 17 States! Keep on keeping on, Whataburger! Expand at will. Just remember where you came from. 😀

The mgr was more then helpful, instead of telling me I'm out of luck it's your mistake, he pushed the order thru and it was for breakfast items and got my order done fast. Also was very organized and ran smoothly. Most locations are chaotic and scattered minded employees. Props to the mgr for his great crew!!

Anyways he was talking on the phone & I looked at the menu while I waited for him to hang up.(literally not an issue.) when he’s done talking on the phone he doesn’t even ask me if I was ready to order didn’t even look at me, he simply said are you going to order. I proceed to order and I asked for a caramel iced coffee, worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life super bitter no type of flavor at all. The hot food itself was very good but this guy needs to work on his customer service skills, such as greeting customers because another couple walked in & he looked at them, didn’t say a word & left them standing there. I believe his name is Abel.
