Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I love Whataburger but I try not to go to this location. If they do see you waiting they do not acknowledge you. After being there for around 2 minutes I was going to start timing but finally someone came up there was about five of us waiting. I'm really thinking of buying a bell to put on the counter at this location.

The line is backed up, orders are crawling out, and the whole crew looks completely overwhelmed. It’s like nobody here has been trained, and nobody in charge actually cares. If you’re going to show up to work, at least act like you give a damn. Stop coasting through your shift and delivering bottom-tier service just because it’s fast food. Have some pride—or step aside and let someone who actually wants to work take your place.
