  I don’t even leave reviews like this but I had to. True Texas BBQ is hands down the BEST barbecue I’ve ever had and I’m beyond picky. My food has to be seasoned and flavorful or I’m not impressed. That chicken?? Baby. So juicy. Seasoned to perfection. The perfect balance of spice and a little sweetness. I literally shocked myself at how fast I ate it 😭 I was tearing that chicken UP. I called my best friend while I was still eating and told her I’m taking her next time my treat. That’s how good it was. They definitely gained a regular customer. If you haven’t tried them, you truly don’t know what you’re missing. And if you’re thinking about it… stop thinking and just GO. Get there. Get there. GET THERE. 🔥

  This is the second time I have visited this restaurant location. Heather and her staff were exceptional! The food was very tasty and served quickly. The brisket chili and the Serrano cornbread had the right amount of spice. Also I liked the collard greens. I will definitely eat here again. Heather was very helpful to quote and schedule a special catering order for me during this visit. Thank You!

  Upon my visit here on 02/15/2026, the young man who was very rude working the drive thru stated that they ran out of cole slaw for the EL Jefe sandwich. So I asked him if they could sub Mac n Cheese and they said no. Wow over one scoop of Mac n cheese...it is not like I was asking for anything free. I will not be going back to this location. Horrible customer service.

  OH MY DELISH!!!! I am super picky about BBQ meat and not a big fan of BBQ sauce, they have excellent meat & sauce. The meat is great even by it's self. The sauce is a great combination of sweet and tangy paired with great smoked flavor from the meat. I wish the prices weren't as high but the food is definitely worth it.

  Ordered kids brisket with slaw and bottled drink. The self help screen says and shows it's sliced and comes with bread, pickles, onions. I received chopped brisket, pickles onions, slaw, no bread. The chopped has sauce on it, which is too sweet for my liking. I asked for sliced, worker says it shows chopped on their screen (he was NOT rude. Quite cheerful, actually). I just looked at receipt and it says chopped. It will save you all money to invest in a screen update. For sanitary reasons he let me keep the chopped, but I trashed it because it had the sweet sauce on it. I got my slices, then I had to ask for bread. The self help screen says cole slaw, while your physical sign says apple slaw. Which is it? What if I was allergic to apples? The brisket was not seasoned and it was cold....true TX BBQ.....they aint lying about that. I guess Texans just like the taste of meat. Us Northerners enjoy flavor (seasoning). The supposed good sides were sold out, so I didnt have much choice on the side. No dessert for me as i am sure the banana pudding is box pudding, and not truly homemade where they stand over the stove and stir for hours to avoid lumps. Im also iffy on trying the peach cobbler, because all restaurants use gelatin or something. Their cole slaw aint touching KFC. Im gonna go back on a Friday to try their beef rib. Thats it. DFW has been a huge disappointment when it comes to true BBQ. -Sincerely a non-native Texan.
