There was a marked down item on the shelf that the register priced differently. She very politely assisted me and fixed my issue. I was recovering from illness and wore a mask out of consideration for others, which unfortunately seemed to change how I was treated. I waited a long time at the pharmacy, was asked to continue waiting multiple times, and encountered visible frustration from staff while I was clearly unwell. After nearly 45 minutes, I was told I couldn’t ring up a few grocery items at the pharmacy counter despite no line behind me. At checkout, I was skipped over in line while other customers were allowed to step away and return. By that point, I was exhausted and felt completely overlooked. I ended up leaving my groceries behind and going home with just my medication. I’ve always thought of Tom Thumb as a place known for kindness and customer care, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve how customers—especially those who are sick or vulnerable—are treated.

I am sad to say I will not be going back to either . When I walked in and asked to make an order , the workers at the bakery were abrupt and instead of asking “how may I help you” or what not. They were like “what do you want?” Like I committed a crime or something . Mind you it was early afternoon so nowhere even close to closing time. At the Starbucks, the workers weren’t even more congenial. They were nice and friendly to all the customers that came in but me. It was just weird and inhospitable. I won’t be going back , at least for the bakery and Starbucks .
