Worst service I have ever had at OTB. I sat at the bar and the bartenders rarely looked up to see what was going on, and definitely not to check on anybody. There was a group of 3 people that were there for about 5-10 minutes before anyone ever acknowledged them. Another couple waited 15 minutes with no acknowledgement before I called out to one of the bartenders, who had not ever come back to check on me, and told her that I needed to cash out AFETR she went and served that couple. She said she was sorry but they had her and the other bartender serving “ALL” of these tables (as she motions to all of the tables in the bar area and the people at the bar. Yeah! It’s your job. And this is Wednesday, so good luck on Friday. They also had the manager helping them out. Still no follow up. I am a nurse at a county hospital so I will gladly swap for a day and let’s see who’s still standing. Pitiful. OTB used to be “the place” and now I see why it isn’t anymore. Sad. Avoid this restaurant.

Since pappas took over the food is so much better. I don't care that my bar stool is ripped. Alex was great and they had Gran Mariner to top my rita. This food was awesome and 16 bucks for my entree. Get it OTB!!

Me and my whole family (6 of us) came here for lunch after an important medical procedure and I was starving. The first thing we noticed was our waiter was not friendly at all and acted inconvenienced by us. Super awkward and uncomfortable. I hadn't ate normal in days and couldn't even eat regular food the whole day before. All I wanted was to eat some mexican food finally after diet restriction for several days. But I felt instant regret coming here. I did tell my family maybe we should just pay for the drinks and go somewhere else and cut our losses. However my family is too nice to do something like this but had I been alone dining I would have for sure. The food isnt cheap and I couldn't believe we were about to pay that much for this type of service. I have never felt this uncomfortable before from a waiter. It felt wrong to even ask him for anything such as tortillas or chips. We started with 3 salsas and they never brought more. But we didn't want to ask because this guys attitude made us uneasy. The manager somehow came over and made things even more awkward by saying "I heard y'all had a problem" I don't know if the waiter or someone overheard us. My family is too nice to say anything. I would have maybe told the manager something but didn't wanna say this in front of waiter since he already seemed angry. I just wishing I could have predicted this before my parents wasted well over $100. Will NEVER come back here again and waste mine or anyone's hard earned money. This economy is already bad and this experience really upset me and made a hard day at the surgical center all morning even worse. This guy acted like he didn't wanna work there or be a waiter and maybe he shouldn't. I know working isn't fun but why be a waiter!? He made a bad day for me even worse but I was too weak to say too much. Really ruined it for me. I used to love coming here. Have many times with my mom and sister for mother's day. Such a dang shame. I'm sure my family tipped him well too just because of obligation but he didn't deserve anything. Don't waste your money here and if your waiter is the older tall guy with glasses good luck.

It feels like they have made a number of changes to the On the Border brand at some point recently. The first thing I noticed is the menu has been gutted and there are fewer items to choose from. Then I got my food and it was awful. Not awful from being cooked badly or prepared wrong, but was changes to the recipes of just about everything. I ate On the Border a lot over the years and this isn't the same food that I am used to getting. It looks the same on the outside, but the whole vibe is totally different. Even the music being played was different. It has changed so much that I don't know if I would go back. The food was pretty consistent for years but if this is what they're doing now, then I don't want it. I won't be completely negative and I will say the staff was very friendly and I got good service, so it's not something the staff here could have improved on. They're doing their part well. It's a big change in the food and presentation that left me disappointed

Haven't been in years but decided to stop by yesterday because we were starving and noticed it wasn't busy. We needed a table for 3 and we were told the wait was 30-45min. We asked "for 3?" Hostess said "yes" There was literally so many empty tables. We walked out. I can't give a review for the food.
