Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times, especially in the drive-thru, with some waiting over 30 minutes for their orders.

Food is better here than surrounding whataburgers, service is good if they give me everything I order. Been shorted a drink two times.

I came in on a weekday in the late afternoon, and there was no one else there. I placed my order to dine in and waited about 30 minutes. When I finally went up to the cashier to ask about my food, she told me—rudely—that my ticket had never been printed for the kitchen. She acted as though the mistake was somehow my fault.
I asked for a refund at that point. She took my ticket but refused to process the refund. Then a man from the back came out and began arguing with me as well. The entire situation felt unnecessarily confrontational and unprofessional.
I ended up leaving without my meal and no refund. A simple order should not turn into that kind of experience. We’ve had multiple poor customer service experiences here before, but this one was by far the worst.

Don’t know what was so funny after I gave my name for the order. After that the girl started laughing uncontrollably and a guy came on and said BYE STEPHANIE. I waited in the line for my food. A young male took my payment. Then this female came out to repeat my name 5 more times before leaving. I did give her a stare because it was weird. Is there a problem with my name or something? Even my spouse in the car with my child thought it was strange. Train younger staff members to do better. I get having fun at work. But be respectful. JACKLYN…JACLYN

Sat in the drive through for 35 min with one car In front of me. Guy at the window might as well have been a barely warm body. Now I’m sitting at the window, and have been here for another 10 min.

Typically you go to a Whataburger and you wait in line forever with employees that just want to hand you food and go about their day. I went to the Fate location around 2:20 in the morning and Eric was the guy manning the window. He started conversation enthusiastically, didn’t make me feel like I was wasting his time or like I was making him do his job late at night. He was the man you want to see if you’re ever in the drive thru late at night! He was awesome! I appreciate this location a little more now knowing he could passively be the man handing me my food!
