It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

The Dr Pepper blackberry shake stood out with strong flavor and a clean finish. Staff moved the line fast and kept orders accurate. The dining area stayed clean and tables were cleared often. Some items needed a bit more heat and seasoning, but everything came out fresh. Worth the stop if you want quick service and a shake worth ordering again.

We were missing a large fry and kid's fry. The two medium fries that we got were about half filled. I called and spoke to a manager, Eric. He took my concerns seriously, which I appreciate. And, he offered to make it right. So, for that reason alone, I gave 4 stars. They did toss in some cookies and brownies, which, of course, my children loved. But, I would have preferred the fries with the meal. But, we will give this location another try, because of Eric.

I’ve been a few times to this location at this point and the level of dedication to service I see from the front end staff is very rare. No matter what time of day or day of the week you get the same quality of food and service. Manager seems to enjoy his work and should be very proud of it. This store is the example others should follow.
