Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

$11 for an offal-patty burger with bbq sauce? Better options available elsewhere for same or better price, never going to Whataburger again.

On 10/06/25 I stopped off after work to pick up dinner. We order a spicy chicken sandwich. When I got my order the bread was old and the chicken was fried in old smelly oil and to make matters worse the chicken was burnt. I went to the counter and asked for a new sandwich. The ladies at the counter were mean and rude. They did offer to make us a new sandwich, but was told it’s going to be fried in the same smelly oil. I changed my order to something new. But then I saw all the kitchen staff and cashiers talking about my order… I decided to cancel my order all together. I wasn’t rude and I don’t know why I received such horrible customer service. The sandwich was inedible. I just wanted a fresh sandwich. I’m extremely disappointed in Whataburger!

What a sweet young lady! With a smile on her face she took our order and chatted a bit.
Our food arrived to our table in no time at all and was as good as we expected.
