Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently praised the deliciousness and freshness of the burgers and other menu items.

Showed up just before midnight. Had one of the absolute best burgers I have ever eaten. Typically if you go get fast food at midnight, you get served a hastily made shitty burger.
This was not that. The pickles and onions and tomatoes and lettuce were carefully distributed evenly on the burger. Nothing was greasy or soggy.
It was absolutely perfect.
I had just finished a very long, physically demanding, and mentally exhausting work day. This burger was so incredibly needed and appreciated.
I cannot give enough stars.

Stopped at the Whataburger in El Paso just off I-10 and was surprised by how slow the service was, especially since it didn’t seem that busy. The staff was friendly, but the wait for food felt longer than expected. The burgers were still solid — classic Whataburger flavor — but the delay took away from the experience. Hopefully just an off day, because this spot has potential to be much smoother for travelers looking for a quick bite.

I thoroughly enjoy the Cobb salad with what a chicken! It is so delicious! I would’ve given five stars for service but there’s times that they just tend to forget to put a couple of extra things I ask for in my bag. But, they are always very kind at the window and when I do come inside to get what was missed, they immediately attend to me.
