Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Feedback on customer service is mixed; while some praised friendly staff and managers, others reported rude behavior and unprofessionalism from management.
Order Accuracy
Many customers experienced issues with order accuracy, frequently receiving incorrect items or missing components.
Wait Times
Numerous reviews highlighted long wait times for food, both in-store and drive-thru, often exceeding 20 minutes.
Food Quality
Food quality received positive remarks, particularly for burgers and shakes, but there were complaints about inconsistent freshness and portion sizes.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness was a concern for some customers, with reports of unsanitary conditions during certain visits, although there were also mentions of improvements.

I have nothing but amazing things to share about this place. I stopped by Wednesday for my usual work lunch and the crew was all hands on. I only get a thirty minute lunch and I keep coming back to this location because they always get the job done one time.

Outstanding service like this keeps customers coming back!

Went to this location through drive through, spoke to the immature very unprofessional shift manager name JESSE demanding a receipt like if the picture of the plastic in the burger is not enough terrible service from this manger.

Got a #6 with onion rings. Food was excellent and they didn't skimp out on the avocado or bacon. The tea was brewed admirably, not boiled into oblivion. My order came out in less than 2 minutes as well.
