Placw has gone downhill since October. I used to love the pesto pasta with chicken, used to order it all the time. This last time was so bad I hadto leave a review. It was SO greasy and the quality of the chicken was honestly so low quality, why am I paying so much greasy pasta and fatty chicken. Server was clueless about the menu. This "crossover" is an awful concept. Menu is confusing, food quality is awful. This is why this city goes to chain restaurants. At least the quality is consistent and customer service is always great. I give this place 3 more months tops.

The sign said Sazon but inside it said Starlight. Anyway. Restaurant should label the menu better with ingredients. We ordered Mac and cheese for my 5 year old and it comes out with green chile and bacon. No where did it say green chile and bacon. I told the server and he says "oh yeah, its only a little bit of green chile. You can't taste it" oh yes we can. We asked to make it again without the green chile and bacon and were told that was not possible but we can gladly order something else for him. We wanted the chicharron and they were out. Tried to order one of the salads, they were out. Partner ordered the bliss burger. Was the only one on the menu that didnt include onions on the menu. Partner asked the server if it had onions and the server said yes "but not that many" and he said he would tell the cook no onion. Burger came out with onions. The shoestring fries were delicious. The mexi-fresh cod tacos tasted like Arbol chile and nothing else. I ordered my fave, the calabacitas with salmon. It was dinner time but the portion was noticeably smaller compared to old location. There was only like 3 tablespoons of squash in there. All in all it was ok. Not for kids, we went in on a Tuesday night and some menu items were not available, and not a great place if you are a picky eater.

Really enjoyed Starlite (recently merged Rulis restaurants) and especially the service. Our waitress (Emily I believe) and provided us with great recommendations. The birria flautas were delicious

I'm super happy to see Starlight and Sazon with Chef Rulis. Though the menu changed a little, all of my favorites are here. Everything is good, but the Pasta Chihuahua is my favorite. It's really a unique flavor that I can honestly say that I've never had anything close to elsewhere. I also like the blue cheeseburger and the chicken pesto pasta but I need to come back a few more times to try the whole new menu. This is definitely where I would take out of town visitors, when they want a flavor of El Paso but and enlightened version of border food.
