  I used to visit this place in South Texas in the late 90s and early 2000s. When You would walk in back in the day you could smell the chicken being tall boiled and you can hear the fire burning and they would be playing Mexican music from the local radio station. I walked into this one today and it felt very corporate, The chicken is comparable to back in the day, but not as good. The rice and beans are definitely not good at all, They are Land and lack authenticity. It’s definitely a relic of what it used to be.

  Pleasantly surprised with the attitude & customer service, 10 min before closing tonight Wednesday 11/19/25. Wife & I were hungry at that time of night. Drove by Pollo Loco, my wife said forget it. Its 10 min till they close, most likely rushing out the door already. I took a chance made a mad dash for the front door. To my surprise the entire crew up front 2 young girls and a middle aged gentleman possibly the manager. Greeted me as if i was walking into Disney World. Blew my mind especially at that time 5 min till closing. Besides the great tasting chicken, it was a win, win for 2 late night food bandits. Would really like to congratulate the owner & manager on duty for having such a dedicated & wonderful bunch of employees. Simply Amazing! These are the type of employees. I would love to have if I had a business. Keep up the great work!! Blessings Always.

  Was excited about having Pollo Loco after several years. We have similar chicken places close by (far east) but decide to try it out. Was disappointed as the chicken was very dry and lacked the flavor I remembered it having. The beans and church's were good. I'll just stick to whats closer to me.

  Went on a Saturday evening. VERY UNSANITARY AND UNPROFESSIONAL There was a small waiting line when arrived with a few empty tables. All the people that arrived after us received their food before we did. While waiting for our order we witness an employee that was making the food eating an mistake that he made. Not once changing his gloves he would take a bite then continue making food. The same employee also starting using a vape while making food again with the same gloves on. My order was completely wrong when returned it the famale employee made it out to be my fault. When clearly on the receipt it states the items I did not want. My daughter's food had a very long dark hair inside her food. This place was very unsanitary unprofessional.

  If El Pollo Loco means “The Crazy Chicken,” then this location must’ve lost its mind completely. That chicken was cooked so long I think it saw the afterlife and came back just to disappoint me. Dry doesn’t even describe it — this bird died twice. The sides tasted like they were seasoned with broken dreams and unwashed spoons. Zero flavor. Nada. And don’t get me started on the price — I paid gourmet money for something that tasted like it escaped a gas station microwave. I’ve had more excitement chewing on cardboard dipped in hot sauce. If misery ever opened a restaurant, this would be its flagship location. Save your wallet, save your taste buds, and go anywhere else that serves actual food. 🔥🐔💀
