  My fiance and I went to Chelitos as we saw many ads regarding this restaurant. Our expectation were way to high as the food was mediocre at best. We started our meal with the appetizer the elote dip and this was the best item we had. Although it did lack flavor and was mainly something I could make at home. I had the flautas as my main meal as that’s their most popular item and they were dry, and no flavor whatsoever. If it weren’t for the toppings I would have been way more disappointed than I already am. The rice (which was the side for the flautas) were awful. It was literally “red” rice but no tomato flavor and was so plain I had to salt and pepper my rice. My fiance had the juariots burger and this was way better than the flautas. The fries it came with were cold, soggy and were a disappointment. I really wanted to like it here as the ads make it look amazing. The only positive note I will leave is that our server Michelle was great at explaining the different promotions they have throughout the week and brought our food out promptly. I was amazed at her taking care of all the tables by herself once it started to get busy. All in all I don’t think I’ll be returning as it was very disappointing that all the food we had ordered lacked flavor.

  He sido cliente frecuente de este lugar por mucho tiempo porque la comida siempre ha sido sabrosa y era, sinceramente, uno de mis lugares favoritos. Por eso mismo me sorprende lo mal que estuvo el servicio esta vez. Entiendo que la mesera era nueva, pero la experiencia fue muy frustrante con ella se le olvidaron nuestras bebidas, entregó una orden que no pedimos y además nos cobró extras que nunca solicitamos, como agregar grilled onions a hamburguesas que no queríamos. Todo esto hizo que esta vez se sintiera muy diferente. Ojalá puedan entrenar mejor a su personal, porque la calidad de la comida sigue siendo excelente y me gustaría seguir viniendo como antes. Extraño el servicio que tenían antes, cuando todo salía bien sin tener que estar revisando cada detalle.

  I love the food and go frequently, but this past time I went last Tuesday and the waitress/cashier over charged me. It was originally 32 for 4 burgers on Tuesday with their 6 dollar burger special and my posted total was 38. So clearly they overcharged me. Another time they messed up and didn't give me the loaded fries I asked for, only at the utep location do they do this. It does suck because I love the food but at this point I'm just flabbergasted, watch your totals because apparently they like stealing there now lol

  The food in my opinion was good but lacked in flavor a bit. We did not expect the service we received from this location unfortunately. We actually expected it to be like the other location in Westwind that was by far the best location.

  First off the vibes were definitely off. The waitress was barely available. We waited more than an hour for our food. She barely came back to check if we needed anything or to give us updates. We felt rushed to even eat and left . Never again …
