- AGAlfredo Gutierrez3 days ago2.0Don't rent their carpet cleaners. Recently rented one of theirs with the hose to clean couches, and it smelled like cat urine. I would know I used to live with a crazy cat lady. I had to clean the hose out myself, but when I went to return the carpet cleaner they got upset that there was a little bit of hair in the roller, never mind that the hose I rented with it was a biohazard to begin with. I signed a slip that said I had read the terms but they never presented it to me nor did the slip I was given contain any language in there for what clean actually meant. I signed the slip, and I wasn't about to get a lawyer, so I went ahead and cleaned as best I could which they accepted. The only issue is that now I seriously question the standards of cleanliness with these carpet cleaners. When I asked the associate if they knew what the cleaning practices and procedures were, she practically threw her arms up in the air and said the company they use for these carpet cleaners does whatever they want and they have no idea how they clean it. If they aren't able to verify the cleaning procedures then they simply cannot be trusted. The detachment to the whole situation is also a serious concern, as it brings into question what management practices might be like. It's sad because I've never had an issue with this H-E-B before and I really didn't want to have to write a review about it. Hopefully they'll see this and be a little bit more honest about these carpet cleaners. Two stars for now because they were nice enough to give me an extra hour apart from the 24 hours I had rented the machine to clean it without charging me an extra fee.
