Got all my groceries only to find out their registers had gone out. They were waiting for someone to come fix it. Everyone understands, but the manager should have announced it over head and not wait for customers to tell each other. Kroger won!

Great meat selection and the butcher will cut to desired thickness. Like the bogo offers on the meat. Good seafood selection. Bakery has tasty bread and pastries. The ladies in the prepared food and deli section have always been helpful.

I’ve tried not to do this review but I feel it’s necessary. On this past Monday morning I stopped and ordered 50 pieces of chicken to be picked up Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. I arrived at the store at 5:55 PM to pick up my order and the Deli Clerk asked my name and she went to the back to get the order. I watched her body language and I immediately knew there was a problem. She came back to tell me, that they were going to drop some fresh chicken and I could pick it up in 30 mins or call back and see if it was ready. Seems as if they would’ve called me to say my order was ready 1.5 hours after the requested time. At any rate, I called and was told the order was ready. I went back and the Clerk apologized and said “they gave us eight extra pieces of chicken for the inconvenience.” So, I spoke to the person that’s responsible for ordering food for my job and the same error happened on this past Friday, an order was to be ready at 10:00 AM and when the person went to pick it up, they were asked to come back in an hour. So, my issue is how can this happen 2 times in 72 hours? We have been a customer at Tom Thumb since 2006. Someone from my job spoke to the Deli Manager on Saturday and she was assured this would not happen again. Low and behold it indeed happened again in 2 days. I stopped by the store Wednesday morning and spoke to the Store Manager and explained to her my frustration. She was kind and listened to me and simply said “I’ll speak with them.” My issue is not one time did anyone say “give me your name & telephone number and I’ll follow up with an action plan to insure this doesn’t happen again, or here’s a store gift card for the inconvenience, or your next order will be on us.” Nothing to secure our relationship as a valued customer. Needless to say, I’ve directed the person responsible for ordering for us to start ordering from a Tom Thumb competitor. I really don’t feel like our concern mattered, so we can end this 19 year relationship immediately. I hope other valuable customer's don’t have the same issues.
