- TWTysheka WrightDec 7, 20251.0I stopped at Subway today to order food for my family and had one of the most surprising customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered. Before I could even place my order, I was asked if I had the exact amount for my purchase. I explained that I wasn’t sure of the total yet since I hadn’t ordered. The employee then told me that if I didn’t have exact cash, I would not be able to order because they could not provide change. I have never been told I couldn’t spend money or place an order due to a store’s inability to provide change. Turning customers away for that reason was unexpected and disappointing. After expressing this, I was simply told “sorry,” but the explanation did not change the fact that I was unable to order food for my family. This experience was unprofessional and concerning, and I hope management addresses it so future customers are not turned away in this manner.
