This was not good at all. If you just have a taste for bbq sauce and need a fix then come here but if you are actually looking for real bbq…like you can eat the meat without sauce…this isn’t the place. We ordered the brisket baked potato and the turkey baked potatoe. They were like $15 a piece. They gave a really small portion of meat, potatoe was mid- size. If you have been to the me in Houston just know this one is not comparable to that one. This is comparable to Dickeys. The only difference is at least you get more meat and flavor at Dickey’s

I’ve been here several times. The food is’t consistent. Today I purchased a small salad that was $15 premade with chicken presentation wasn’t appetizing,.
The salad look like a bunch of iceberg lettuce and four little pieces of chicken it ruined my whole appetite. I did forget to take a picture so for sure this time I won’t be back.
I really wanted to ask for my money back, but I didn’t. I know this location is been here about five years and the food doesn’t match the price point.

I read the reviews but decided to take accountability by checking out this location for myself. It wasn’t that bad. Upon entering, there was no host, but I was able to locate the ordering area easily. The menu and advertisements were very clear and visible, so most people were able to order immediately. The staff was attentive, and the food looked fresh. I ordered a full rack of ribs (tender and flavorful), 12 wings (properly sauced and well cooked), and a half order of brisket (requested it wet, but received mostly ultra dry). The sides were more like samples, but they were fresh and tasted decent. The establishment was very clean inside and outside. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal. I will definitely try them again and hope things only get better.

Papas BBQ in Cedar Hill off Hwy 67 is consistently a win. The place is always clean, welcoming, and the staff genuinely seems happy to be there—which says a lot these days. You can tell they take pride in serving their guests, not just going through the motions.
Special shoutout to Andrew, one of the managers. His leadership really stands out. During my visits, the crew clearly respects him, everything runs smoothly, and the positive vibe starts at the top. If leadership mattered in BBQ (and it does), Andrew’s got it locked down.
Now… we must talk about the Baby Back Ribs. I was told Cam cooked my slab, and listen—this review would be a lie if I didn’t say I ate the entire rack in one sitting. I don’t want any “baby backs” unless Cam is on the grill. Absolute perfection.
I’m already telling my coworkers about this location, and I’ll be back soon—probably sooner than I should. If you’re debating where to eat, stop debating and go here.

First, walking in, the restaurant was clean and bright. The kitchen was clean from my vantage point. This is a huge deal for me. I will turn around and walk out if it’s not.
Second, the young guy who greeted us was friendly and let us know how to order. The cashier was friendly.
Third, the food was pretty good. The sides were generous helpings. The candied yams were super good. First time I’ve ever had them at a BBQ restaurant. My wife’s ham plate was quite tasty. I’d give them 5 outa 5 stars. My chopped brisket pi-boy had a great flavor. However, it was rather dry and the meat was nowhere close to warm or hot. When ordering, make sure you as for your brisket to be hot and a mix of lean and moist. Like I said, the flavor was great (significantly better than Spring Creek), but it was cold and dry. There are plenty of free sides like pickles, onions, etc.
Finally, I will definitely return. I think the sides and flavors were great. Just asking for a hot meal next time. Also, plenty of leftovers to take home for a second meal. I felt the prices were fair for a BBQ restaurant, especially with the portion size and leftovers.
