Teal House Coffee & Bakery was originally founded by our family, the Phillips, in a teal house on Littlefield Street as a family-operated cottage business.
Our entrepreneurial inspiration came from a neighbor who advertised paella for sale on our neighborhood’s facebook page with tremendous success. Her success encouraged us to begin offering cinnamon rolls and apple pies to our neighbors on Father’s Day 2016. Our five children had dreamed of going to Disney World so all of our profits from selling baked goods initially went towards funding our family’s Disney vacation.
The following Labor Day weekend, we sold 31 dozen cinnamon rolls to our neighbors and Teal House was born!
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, although there were some complaints about specific items being cold or not prepared correctly.
