Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I fulfilled a lot of want-to-try’s on our most recent vacation, including Whataburger.
Located near our D-gate, it’s the only reason why I made an effort to order lunch instead of consuming food in the airline lounge.
ATMOSPHERE:
Being located in the center aisle of the terminal gives the restaurant easy dual access from either side. A few seats are available within though the majority of business was takeout.
FOOD:
Double Meat Whataburger
A burger isn’t a burger without cheese! I had no idea what “Whatasauce” was but I opted for it in place of the standard mustard. The overall taste was a like blend of BK’s flame broil and a flat top fry you’d find at your local greasy spoon. Very hefty and hearty and worth the almost $12 price. Recommended.
Fries
If I were blindfolded I would’ve guess they came from the Golden Arches. They’re that good.
SERVICE:
I ordered on one of the four convenient kiosks.
For my double order of Double Whataburgers and medium fries, it took about 10 minutes.
Counter service was friendly.
OVERALL:
In America’s fast food burger wars and cult followings, they’re definitely in my top 3.

Had to walk a bit to get to this Whataburger but it was definitely worth it. (we’re at e4) The lady taking our order had amazing energy and was super sweet to us. We got our food super quickly as well and it tasted amazing. Was a little disappointed we couldn’t scan my app but it’s not the most important thing

I had a two hour layover so I thought I’d grab some lunch. I wish I would’ve tried something different. The Service was OK no smiles from the clerks. They weren’t rude or anything just not overly welcoming the food. I’ve had better food at McDonald’s!! my burger was tasteless and soggy I think they make the food fresh. I don’t know how the bun was so damp. This airport has lots of food choices. This would not be a good one. In my opinion. The service was quick. The pop machine had no Coke or Diet Coke available they also were out of sweet tea very few options. Dickeys barbecue pit is right across the way. Wish I would’ve tried that instead.
