Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
While many customers enjoyed the food, there were several complaints about incorrect orders, stale items, and inconsistent freshness.
Service Issues
Numerous reviews highlighted poor customer service, including rude staff, long wait times, and mistakes in orders.
Cleanliness
Some customers noted cleanliness issues, particularly with the grill and dining area, which detracted from their overall experience.
Location Experience
The location in Terminal E received praise for its service and food quality, while other terminals had more negative feedback.
Value for Money
Customers felt that prices were high for the quality of food and service received, especially in an airport setting.

Patrice, who was working the morning of 11/15/25, was the epitome of great customer service. She was warm with a sweet smile and extremely thorough. She upsold me on adding jalapeños to my taquitos which I never thought of and will do every time going forward.

My food was well made and tasty, exactly how I ordered it. But the screens don't work and employees who deliver the food are miserable

Terminal E has a Whataburger near gate 27. The Triple Decker Belly Buster with cheese was made fresh, Onion rings were hot, staff was friendly, and service was quick. No table seating, so turn that clamshell carry-on into a tabletop. Totally worth the pilgrimage.

Not a huge fan of eating around from restaurants at any airport. Food isn't always what you expect it to be but it actually surprises me because it tasted good enough to go eat another honey Chicken biscuit. I was lucky to have found it at DFW airport. Limited seating. It doesn't have the fastest service but it was worth the wait.
