Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

After waiting over 20 minutes beyond the original pickup time, the order was brought out and was incorrect. The fries were cold. There were missing items. People who got in line well after me were served their food first. I know this restaurant isn’t know for having exceptional customer service or being speedy with their food preparation but this is ridiculous. As I continue to finish this review, I am still sitting in line waiting for the food that I paid for while other people continue to be served. This will be the last time I get whataburger especially when there are so many other options.

They never answer the phone, so the only way to reach someone is through the 800 number, and even then, it’s not much help. On multiple occasions, when paying with cash, I wasn’t given the correct change intentionally. When I addressed a separate issue and even had proof of their mistake, a lady named Jesenia dismissed it, refused to refund me, and essentially called me a liar instead of taking accountability. The operating partner, Felix, is never reachable, which only adds to the frustration. There seems to be a complete lack of responsibility at every level. I did enjoy their chicken sandwiches; however, the burgers are subpar. No food is that good to be disrespected and have people play with my hard earned money. After this last experience, I will not be returning.
