NOT what it used to be. The managers (Ashley and Stacy) were NO HELP AT ALL!! The servers kept walking past us without any greetings nor waters and when I had told the managers they walked off without any regard for the situation. Later saw them pointing, laughing and just sitting down talking. THEY ARE LAZY AND DONT DO THEIR JOB!!!!! I used to love it here but not anymore!!!!!!!

We came in for lunch on a sunday, sadly they only mostly serve their designated brunch on sundays till 3pm and only offer a la carte a few things like salads and sandwiches. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, we just expected to get a regular a la carte menu, which was partly our fault. The side of chips is so big we took it home with us.

Our waitress Madison was fantastic. She handled it all with a breeze for a party of 10+ people at our table. I would definitely ask for her if you want the best waitress to serve you. The only downfall I have is we made reservations to be seated outside and we still had to wait an hour for a table to open up. It was embarrassing for me to have to wait for a table in front of my friends and family because our reservations was set at 6pm and we didn't get seated until 7pm. We got there with intentions that they were going to have our table ready for us at 6pm but we still had to wait for a table to open up and we did not get seated until an hr later. Why make reservations if your not going to have a table ready for us to be seated.

We had such a great experience at The Rustic in Dallas, and a big part of that was thanks to Hannah! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. Her recommendations were spot on, and she stayed on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. It’s clear she genuinely cares about her guests and takes pride in what she does. Service like that makes all the difference. We’ll definitely be back and will be asking for Hannah again!

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment regarding my recent experience at Katy Trail Ice House location. I have always heard positive things about the establishment and expected a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Unfortunately, my visit was anything but that. Prior to our visit, I took the time to call ahead in order to be respectful of the restaurant’s operations and ensure our group could be accommodated. I informed the staff that we would have approximately 24 people and that we would likely need at least five separate checks. I was clearly told that this would not be a problem and that the restaurant could accommodate our group. Based on that confirmation, we moved forward with our plans to meet at Katy Trail Ice House. However, when I arrived alone to check in for the group, the level of service and professionalism I experienced was extremely concerning. Instead of receiving assistance or guidance, I was met with rudeness and dismissive behavior. The interaction with the manager, Jimmy Fell, was particularly troubling. Rather than demonstrating the leadership, courtesy, and problem-solving approach that one would expect from someone in a management position, his responses were dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of listening and attempting to resolve the situation, the interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and lacking in basic customer respect. Hospitality establishments thrive on creating an environment where guests feel welcomed, valued, and respected. Sadly, that was not the case during our visit. The tone and manner in which the situation was handled escalated what could have been a simple coordination matter into a very negative and uncomfortable experience. What was most disappointing was the absence of accountability or effort to remedy the situation. As patrons who made the effort to call ahead, communicate clearly, and respect the restaurant’s process, we were left feeling unheard and unwelcome. That is not the level of professionalism one would expect from a well-known establishment. Because of this experience, instead of staying at Katy Trail Ice House, we chose to take our business to The Rustic, which is only about five minutes away. There, we were treated professionally, respectfully, and with the kind of hospitality that guests expect when choosing a place to spend their time and money. I strongly believe in supporting businesses that treat their guests with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot say that this location reflects those values. For that reason, I would highly recommend that others consider spending their money at places like The Rustic, where professionalism and customer service are clearly valued.
