This is the only place in Texas that I have found (so far) to serve real Chesapeake Bay Crab cakes! Everything was excellent.

Service was outstanding. I didn't have the oysters rockafeller, but my birthday guest did and was not pleased with it. I enjoyed my crab pasta dish, but my Caesar salad was lacking. The sides, lobster/crab Mac cheese and shrimp fried rice was delicious.

The restaurant offers an atmosphere that feels both inviting and carefully arranged, allowing guests to settle in with ease and enjoy their meal at a pace that feels natural and unhurried. Service is delivered with genuine attentiveness and composed professionalism, with staff maintaining a courteous and considerate presence throughout while showing the discretion to remain unobtrusive whenever the moment calls for it. The food reaches a consistently pleasing standard, the pricing feels fair in relation to the quality offered, and the experience as a whole leaves guests with a sense of satisfaction that makes the prospect of returning feel both appealing and entirely well deserved.

UPDATE 3/17/26 - The general manager personally emailed me regarding this situation. Lisa extended a kind offer to make this situation right. I think very highly of this. I boosted my review from 2 stars to 3 stars because of this. I also came swiftly to update my review. I genuinely appreciate the timely response to the matter. Thank you to Lisa for your commitment to excellence and your offer to rectify my experience. - :) Coming to the Oceanaire was an ocean of disappointment. My girlfriend and I came to this establishment on 3/14/26 for her birthday dinner. We were on a weekend trip to Dallas from OKC. I had to rely on Google reviews and I thought I had picked a solid restaurant for her special dinner, but I was wrong. We showed up for our 6 pm reservation on time. We were greeted kindly by the hostesses and taken promptly to our table, which I appreciated. Then we were sat down and got to meet our waiter, Cameron. I truly have had a better experience with a waiter at my local Chili’s. The attitude from the waiter was extremely interesting and not in a positive way. When he came to the table to take our order he simply stood there. He didn’t say anything. It was up to me to awkwardly place my order in the silence. I asked questions about the menu and felt as if I was taking up this man’s precious time. The energy felt as if he wanted to be anywhere else in the world but taking my order. I asked about the seasonal vegetable. He told me it was Brussel sprouts. I asked how they were prepared. He said “roasted”. With no further details. It felt as if I was pulling teeth to get any information from him about the menu. When he walked away I overheard another waiter explaining the menu in detail to other customers. At that moment I wish we would’ve requested another waiter. But then, we overheard our own waiter explaining the menu in detail with gusto to other customers as well. So we were truly dumbfounded as to why our service was poor in quality. The food came and it was fine. The crab cakes were pretty good. I had the stuffed flounder and she had the salmon. Then it was time for desert…. We ordered the sticky toffee pudding. It was curious because we waited the longest for the desert to come. When the desert finally arrived the waiter set the plate down and says, and I quote “we didn’t have vanilla ice cream so we pivoted to red velvet. Hope you like it.” And walks away. First of all, if you didn’t have the proper ingredients for the desert, that is something that the customer needs to be aware of before the order comes out. Second of all, saying “hope you like it” is just not what I would expect a waiter to say at fine dining restaurant. Halfway through eating the desert, the waiter comes up and sticks a candle in my girlfriend’s half eaten helping and says “nobody told me it was your birthday.” And walks away again. My girlfriend and I were both sat there stunned. Then we were brought a gift. The gift was a rolled up menu tied with a tacky silver ribbon from the dollar tree. The menu has super imposed rainbow birthday balloons all over it with a rainbow “happy birthday” displayed at the top. I am including a picture of it because I also would have to see it to believe it if I was reading this right now. We also got a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit that is never going to happen. The bill was $190 total with the tip. I am surely disappointed at the money that I spent here on mediocre customer service and food. Next time I will be sure to visit Red Lobster and save some coin and get better customer service from wait staff.
