Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported long wait times for their orders, often exceeding 20-30 minutes, even with few cars in line.

I stopped by the drive-thru today this morning, and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a while. I was the only car in line, yet my order still took about ten minutes to come out. The whole time, I could hear the employee who took my order laughing and talking with someone inside about a guy she met and how he didn’t pay for their date.
It was pretty clear that chatting was taking priority over actually helping customers. When my food finally came, there wasn’t even an apology for the long wait. If you’re the only car in the drive-thru, you shouldn’t be waiting that long for your order.
The food was semi hot and the hashbrowns were overcooked.
Definitely disappointed in the service but then again it is Whataburger and the standard has always been indicative of their staff

My wife and I went through the drive-thru last night for a #5 meal and a medium chocolate shake. We waited for almost 30 minutes and when we got the food it was cold. That wasn't my main issue. I was handed a vanilla shake. I went back in to the lobby and tried to get the proper shake that I ordered and I was met with hostility from the original worker who handed me the vanilla shake at the drive-thru. The shake was remade but it was another vanilla shake. I wasn't about to argue again to remake the shake so I left. Every time I come here we have issues with the food or it takes 30+ minutes to get one item. I went in respectfully and was met with nothing but negativity. I just wanted the actual item I paid for, not something else.

For fast food Whataburger is one of the best. Had breakfast this morning. The breakfast burger with an egg, bacon, cheese, had browns and beef patty. A lot of food, but it was good. Washed it down with milk. Set for the day now.

I made a mobile order for THREE fries. That’s it!. When I pulled up, there were only three cars ahead of me, and I told the person at the speaker I had a mobile order. Somehow, this turned into a 30-minute disaster.
First, someone comes out to ask whose order it is. I answer. Then another employee asks me the same question AGAIN. By this point, I’ve watched seven cars with orders way bigger than mine get their food and drive off. Are you kidding me? It doesn’t take half an hour to drop potatoes in oil. Someone was clearly being lazy, confused, or just didn’t care.
To make it worse, they forgot the ketchup I paid for, so I had to park and go get it myself. And the guy handing out orders was literally walking out to end his shift without giving me ANY update — no “sorry,” no “it’ll be right out,” nothing. Just dipped like it wasn’t his problem.
How does a FAST FOOD place take forever on fries? I had my little sister in the back starving, and apparently nobody there has any urgency or basic communication skills. This was unprofessional, sloppy, and embarrassing for a place that advertises “fast” food. Do better.

The young man asked me so many times what sauce I wanted then didn’t give it to me. I had to go back hours later, as I was working when I originally received my food, and there were teenagers chilling and visiting with their friends, who were supposed to be working. I’m thankful they gave me new food, but it took over 15 mins. Just not impressed.
