Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Alexis and Jocelyn at Whataburger with their team leader Rosa did absolutely fantastic. When I tell you I gave a big order. It was big. Jocelyn took my order with patience and was on point. Alexis came and man when I tell you his energy was beautiful and amazing he went over everything while it was full in both lines! Talk about the best experience i had at whataburger ever in Texas. The BEST EVER. GREAT JOB ROSA AND GREAT JOB Alexis and Jocelyn!!! YALL WILL GO FAR!

Whataburger at 1560 N Cockrell Hill Rd delivers a mixed experience.
The food is solid when fresh. Burgers have good flavor. Fries and onion rings hold up well. Drinks are always cold. The menu has strong options for quick meals.
The service is hit or miss. Some visits move fast, others drag with long waits at the drive-thru or inside. Orders come out accurate most of the time, but not always.
The staff is polite, though the energy can feel rushed. When something goes wrong, they fix it, but it often takes extra time.
The dining area is decent but needs more frequent cleaning. Tables are sometimes left dirty during busy hours.
Parking and access are easy, which helps during peak times.
Three stars for average service, decent food, and inconsistent speed. The location works, but it needs better execution to stand out.
