My family and I decided to celebrate the 2026 New Years Eve Dinner Party last week at Te Deseo coming from out of town at the last minute. We paid $117 per person for a dinner buffet, DJ, Photo Booth and Champagne. Doors opened at 8pm and we arrived at 830pm in hopes we can grab a general seating spot where we can hang out all night. We assumed since it was a restaurant that they will definitely having general seating. There was absolutely no where to sit all night. We had to eat dinner standing up. Yes, we did get a table but there were no chairs. Mind you the table were round tops against the wall and barstools would have not taken much space. The food was delicious. The photo booth was great. The DJ was amazing and the only reason we stood all till 130am. He was fantastic. The drinks were not good and expensive. The staff did not start giving out champagne until 1155pm and you had to go to the bar thru so many people and fight to get a glass of champagne. It was disrespectful. We never got champagne. The place is an upscale restaurant with no upscale service. My feet were hurting for days. If I knew I was going to a nightclub atmosphere, I would have worn the appropriate shoes. I never imagined not having seating for the price and from their advertising. The DJ was on fire.

Went on new years for the party celebration they had in the rooftop, the buffet was amazing! The server was very sweet, and helpful explaining the types of food. The buffet was continuously replenished when i returned for additional food! Paying the entry price was worth it!

My family and I visited Te Deseo recently and had a really mixed experience. To start on a positive note, the hostesses were incredibly sweet and welcoming, and our server was also very kind and did his best to take care of us. Unfortunately, things went downhill once the food started coming out. We all ordered the arroz chaufa, and when it arrived it had shrimp in it — which was a big problem because my mom is allergic. Shrimp was not listed on the New Year’s menu. This is extremely concerning for anyone with food allergies, because we ordered specifically based on the New Year’s menu provided to us. We let our server and the manager know, and while the server was very understanding, the manager offered us rooftop access and a round of shots to make up for it, which we truly appreciated. However, the issues didn’t stop there. The food runner repeatedly brought the wrong dishes to our table. Two of us received our entrées first, while the other two waited about 30–40 minutes for theirs. The two who were served first didn’t even have the correct utensils to cut our steak, so by the time we finally got them, the food was already cold. When the other two entrées finally arrived, the steak that was ordered medium came out well-done and extremely dry. By dessert, we honestly just wanted to finish and try to enjoy the rooftop for midnight, but there was a long blonde hair on my dessert. Another dessert was also incorrect, but at that point we didn’t even want to send anything back. Overall, our server was wonderful and truly tried to accommodate us, and this was not his fault. But there definitely needs to be better communication, clearer allergy labeling on every menu being used, more attention to hygiene, and better organization between the kitchen and runners. For the price point and reputation, the experience was really disappointing — especially considering our total was $553 for a night that was supposed to be special for our family.

I searched extensively for reviews about this restaurant’s New Year’s Eve event but was unable to find any. The general reviews of the restaurant were mostly positive, so after careful consideration, we chose this venue for New Year’s Eve. We attended as a group of four, and the ticket price was $105 per person including tax. The location and atmosphere were pleasant, as the restaurant is situated in a nice area of the city with attractive surroundings. Unfortunately, the food quality was very disappointing. The chicken and meat skewers were served cold, lacked freshness, and were not enjoyable. In addition, we found a long black hair in one of the dishes, which was extremely unpleasant and raised concerns about hygiene. Overall, the food quality was well below an acceptable standard for a special New Year’s Eve event. We only had beer, which was fine, and cannot comment on the other beverages. Additionally, all of the music and announcements during the event were in Spanish. While the restaurant identifies itself as a Latino venue, clearer communication in advance would have been helpful so guests could better determine if the event matched their expectations. Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, and we would not choose this venue again for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

We chose Te Deseo for their à la carte New Year’s Eve event specifically for access to the upstairs area. That access required an additional $40 per person upcharge, which was advertised to include a photo setup and buffet. Both were removed or shut down by the time we made it up, before midnight, meaning we paid an extra $80 simply to access the rooftop after the advertised amenities were no longer available. Portions were extremely small, the “spare riser” was literally a single spoonful of ceviche, and many à la carte items were further upcharged, limiting already minimal options. Gratuity was included and authorized, yet an additional $10 tip was added without consent. With the event fee, two people dining à la carte with one round of drinks totaled $397.59. Overall, the experience fell very short of expectations.
