The atmosphere was up to the standard atmosphere of a Saltgrass location, however this particular location was fairly empty and seemed a little more drab. As soon as we entered we were asked how many which we had a party of 8, we were then asked if we had a reservation because of the large group to which we responded no. The host seems almost annoyed and surprised we hadn’t called in. They were not busy by any means and there were several empty tables (I can now see why). Our server also seemed annoyed by our group as soon as they noticed we had children. They were continually making snide comments towards our group. Just an fyi prime rib is on their menu but apparently is only available two days of the week. When we all received our food the shrimp was HEAVILY salted to the point it was almost unbearable. The macaroni for our entire group was very cold. The 9oz steak fillet we ordered was definitely closer to 6oz and did not taste like a fillet (it was not very tender at all). The ribs we received were charred to the point of tasting burnt. Overall a highly disappointing experience. He manager approached us that evening after our bill and thanked us for coming in. He was the most pleasant of any of the staff we worked with. We are not ones to complain or try and get discounts or credits for unliked items… however we definitely review accordingly. I can not express enough how I have never been this dissatisfied at a saltgrass location. It is usually one of our favorite affordable steakhouses. I can not say that of this location.

Our waitress was too pushy about us taking their membership, he was so pushy he brought it up every time he was called for a refill or anything else.
After all he also wrote by hand on our tag recommending 18% to 20% tip.
We only gave him a 15% tip ($20) but really didn’t feel like leaving a tip at all.

There’s a certain comfort in places that don’t try too hard. Saltgrass is one of them. It’s dependable, the kind of joint where you can walk in solo after church, slide onto a barstool, and know you’re in good hands.
Today was one of those Sundays. The congregation scattered, my parents are off on vacation, and I didn’t feel like heading home to eat leftovers. So I came here, a familiar outpost where I’ve shared plenty of lunches with family.
I ordered the steak and ribs, both solid, cooked right, ribs fell off the bone, no fuss, no pretense. The tortilla soup hit the spot: brothy, salty, rich. I threw in an order of truffle parm fries because sometimes you just need a little indulgence to start the week right.
The bartender, Reilly, a cute young woman from Savannah, carried the kind of Southern hospitality that feels less like a performance and more like a reflex. Polite, warm, effortlessly kind. She made lunch alone feel like catching up with an old friend.
There’s a rhythm to good hospitality: timing, tone, a sense that you belong. Saltgrass has that. Especially this one. If you’re in the area and want a solid steak, a good drink (coke for me today), and a dose of that Southern charm that’s getting harder to find, this is your spot!

Every time we visited the steaks were consistently teriffic. Excellent quality steak meats, ribye (our favorite), NY cut, philet mignon, porterhouse, etc. and cooked exactly to order.
The "dustcutters" are pretty good too, as well as the New York cheesecake.
