We celebrated a birthday at home due to the cold weather. Pappadeaux is normally a treat for us. I spent almost $200 in fried shrimp, catfish, pasta, stuffed crabs, and 3 different appetizers and I was sorely disappointed. I normally don't put negative reviews like this but what happened to you, Pappadeaux? I get it - inflation and food costs have been going up - but did you taste the food you're cooking when you made all these substitutes and shortcuts? Don't get me wrong - this wasn't dis-tasteful.. it was Just. Average. And greasy. Incredibly greasy. I get fried food is greasy, but food fact - if you fry at the wrong temp, the batter just soaks up all the oil and it actually doesn't get crispy. Let's talk service. We got ketchup instead of cocktail (because let me tell you - if you're calling that cocktail sauce, I'm so sorry for you), received 3 honey mustard (we only needed 1) but no ranch as requested, and... thanks for the huge tub of butter but no bread. We asked for 2. Even when I walked in, there's no greeting from the host who saw me, no smile from the bartenders or barbacks, nada. If I had to eat here again, I'm sticking to a cobb salad. Personal opinion? Don't waste your money. Go to Rockfish instead. Fresh seafood, better vibe, and better quality with much cheaper prices than Pappadeaux. Rockfish did their subs right - you just need to remind them about condiments. All jn all, we were hoping for a memorable meal but got a dud instead. The only positive - someone said the pasta had a good ratio of spinach to pasta and a generous amount of sauce - if only the chicken wasn't dry.

This was my inaugural visit to this establishment, and I have received numerous positive reviews. The restaurant exudes a distinctive and inviting ambiance. I am eager to return for another dining experience. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting a gracious hostess from Jackson, Mississippi. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, complemented by exceptional food and impeccable service, making it an ideal choice for a Friday evening.

I sent did lunch today, my food was great. My server was terrible. My friend and I both asked her for items with no bacon. When we pointed it out she just looked at us. She didn’t apologize, wasn’t personable, barely checked on us. It was bad! I will go back because my food is always great but I will make sure I have a different waitress.

1/3 full in eating area, extremely noisy. Could not hear to have conversation. Menu list item is smaller now, missing things we enjoyed in past. Whoever made my salad forgot to put dressing on my salad. Bread was not brought to our table until we asked for it. Took 10 minutes to flag our waiter to get boxes to go, took another 10 min to get waiter to let us pay for meal so we could leave. Total wait 20 minutes. This place has gone down in service since before covid.

The service was exceptional. The food was delicious! It came out hot, delicious and flavorful. Our server, Tracy was amazing! Made sure we had our drinks topped off, bread in place. Food tasted good and even plated our leftovers in front of us packaged everything nice and neatly. The table behind us completely falsified a complaint to get free food and drinks comped off. But our server, Tracy was phenomenal. I put 4 stars under atmosphere because of the falsified complaints against the server. Otherwise perfect experience aside from the liar.
