Friends from abroad were visiting and Nobu Sunday Brunch was one of the experiences I pitched strongly. Sadly it ended up being disappointing. My friends assumed this would be a highlight of their food experience in DFW, but it really wasn’t. We spent close to $450 for four people and left feeling like we should’ve gone to a cozy neighborhood sushi spot instead.
We arrived 5–10 minutes before our 12:30 reservation but weren’t seated until almost 1pm. During that time we were just standing in the middle of guests walking in and out while the front desk manager essentially ignored us. For a place positioned as fine dining, the whole situation felt chaotic and oddly unpolished. If guests are going to wait, there should at least be a proper waiting area or bar seating. One random couch by the entrance doesn’t cut it. The energy honestly felt closer to a busy hotel buffet than a premium brunch.
After waiting that long, we were seated at a small table next to a makeshift curtain where servers kept going in and out, even though nicer tables by the windows were open.
The food itself was fine but nothing memorable. The sushi station was probably the best part and the fresh nigiri was good, but much of the spread felt repetitive and a few dishes were surprisingly average. The grilled salmon was decent, some rolls were okay, but nothing stood out in a way that justified the hype or the price. Desserts were overly sweet and forgettable.
That’s really the problem. Plenty of places have good food now. What makes a restaurant like this special should be the overall experience. We eat sushi very often, from tiny hole in the wall spots to expensive omakase, and the service is usually what elevates everything. Here the food was decent but the service and organization simply didn’t match the Nobu reputation.
I really wish it had been better because I convinced three other people to spend their money on this brunch. I actually took them out for drinks afterward because I felt bad about it!!

Nobu is a straight five-star experience. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale, calm, and perfectly curated, and the service matches that same level of professionalism. Every dish we tried was extremely fresh and beautifully presented, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The sushi and rolls were flawless, the flavors were balanced, and everything came out timed perfectly. Even the small details, like the table setup and overall vibe, make it feel like a special night out. Nobu completely lives up to the hype, and it’s the kind of place you leave already wanting to come back.
we love Nobu! We had our first date at Nobu dall and later got engaged at Nobu Cabo :) It is definitely one of our go to spot in Dallas. Everyone is so welcoming and the atmosphere is cool and relaxing. We love Chelsea at the bar! Our staples are: lychee martini, spicy edamame, waygu tacos, soft shell crab roll, and of course the donuts

Fantastic experience. I thought I knew what delicious sushi tastes like. Nobu set the bar way higher. Appetizers were amazing as well. The crispy rice tuna bites and miso marinated black cod were top notch.
Let me start off saying Nobu Dallas was probably my #1 restaurant so far this starting year of 2026. It lives up to the hype, although it could be on the more pricier side for some people but it is definitely a spot for an anniversary dinner, for surely will impress your significant other! We started off with Yellowtail Jalapeño, Toro tartare with Caviar, Wagyu Dumplings(probably the best dumplings i’ve had in the world), and Oysters with Nobu Sauces. For main entrees we had Infamous Black Cod with Miso, and Panko Battered Whole Lobster! Finished the delightful dinner off with a Miso Cappuccino!
