When we first opened Dolce Riviera in 2016, we recollected experiences from our favorite summer vacations along the Italian Riviera.
We remembered the scent of fresh lemon trees, the Italian fashion, the sea breeze, and the unmatched taste of fresh pasta paired with full bodied wines.
We sought insights from the best Italian talent and the concept of Dolce Riviera was born.
Service experiences varied significantly, with many praising attentive staff like Eduardo and Alexander, while others reported rude or inattentive service.
Food Quality
Food received mixed reviews; some dishes were highly praised, while others were criticized for being bland or overly salty.
Atmosphere
The restaurant's ambiance was frequently described as beautiful and inviting, though some customers noted issues with temperature and noise levels.
Management Issues
Several reviews highlighted poor management responses to service complaints and issues with reservations, leading to dissatisfaction among guests.
Overall Experience
While many enjoyed their visits and planned to return, a notable number of customers expressed disappointment, particularly regarding service and food consistency.

We were there for Christmas and waited for almost an hour for them to honor our reservation!! The food was only ok, but the worst part was that the valet service parked our car illegally in a no standing zone and we were fined $86.00 by the city of Dallas!! We contacted the restaurant and they won’t help us because the valet service is a contractor and not employees. DOLCE RIVERA contracts them out. They won’t help us recover the money. HORRIBLE experience!

I would’ve given this place five stars; however, one thing I did not like at all was that when the waiter came to refill my water, she was touching the rim of my cup with the pitcher and doing it to other people’s cups as well. That was not sanitary at all and I did not enjoy the rest of my meal after I noticed the waiter did that.

Awful experience at Christmas day brunch buffet. The food was terrible, very limited option. The desserts were just bad. Sad that they charged $100 per person, and served food worse than $10!! Plus we had to wait more than an hour even after having a reservation. The server never checked in, didn't fill the water.

I had dinner here for a friend’s birthday and the vibes, food, and staff were amazing! The portions were filling and the staff were very friendly. We had complimentary focaccia bread and got fritto misto to start and then fettuccine bolognese, gnocchi al tartufo, lasagna al forno, rigatoni ala vodka, and pollo a la griglia as our entrees. I definitely recommend their fettuccine bolognese as it was so satisfying and hearty. My friends really liked the gnocchi as well. Food was so good I say get an entree for just yourself, but it is very easy to eat family style here with their portions. The bella rosa mocktail was refreshing and we loved tiramisu we had for dessert.
Our server, Eduardo, was so essential to the good experience and was very attentive to our table making sure we were comfortable and taken cared of. Our birthday girl was treated especially well and every interaction with him was so positive and fun. The energy here was great and the birthday girl really loved the presentation of the food and desserts with special golden candles. Eduardo really made us feel like welcomed guests and good friends and we would definitely go again for him!
Definitely check this place out if you’re looking for an Italian spot with good portions and nice ambiance.

Edwardo provides the absolute best service with kindness and attention to detail. The ambiance is a 10 out of 10. We absolutely loved every dish. The lemon dessert was not only beautiful but a delicious delicacy . Our table enjoyed the lasagna, pasta Pomodori , meatballs, and pasta with a red chili sauce. All were very tasty but the pasta pomadori and meatballs were a real standout. Will definitely return and hope Edwardo is our server.
