About

Italian Restaurant
When we first opened Dolce Riviera in 2016, we recollected experiences from our favorite summer vacations along the Italian Riviera. We remembered the scent of fresh lemon trees, the Italian fashion, the sea breeze, and the unmatched taste of fresh pasta paired with full bodied wines. We sought insights from the best Italian talent and the concept of Dolce Riviera was born.

Celebrated a birthday on a Saturday brunch hours (11a-2p). There was no wait. Only 2 large parties. After 1p the place started to get much more busier We had a large group of 13 guests. Had many entrees, some of which were recommended by our waitress. Pancakes are on spot - balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness. Prosciutto eggs Benedict and fig sandwich was okay. Ricotta fritter was a good starter. Brunch carbonara was a table favorite. Cut place for a date or large private events. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was wonderful.

On 11/15 we arrived to the restaurant around 9 pm. Place is beautiful and the decoration is top notch, We asked the server to help us decide on the menu and he suggested the polpettine and Gnocco fritto , we order them. However, a few minutes later we were told they couldn’t make them because they were out of ingredients. my BF ended up ordering something else and I only ordered a dessert. For drinks, I ordered a margarita on the rocks which was not good. It tasted like if they had used old limes to make it. We asked for butter for the bread and it was never brought to us. I guess server forgot. It seem like they were ready to leave and they didn’t want to serve anymore. We were very excited to try the place, However, we are not coming back.

Went to celebrate a birthday, super cute and vibey spot. They’ll bring it out if you give it to them ahead of time, bring your own candles and it’s a ~$3 per slice cutting fee if you choose to go that route or you can cut yourselves. Call and reserve if you come w a group and mention if you want a specific area. Food is super yummy but rich. The portion for the risotto is massive and has orzo and is delicious. Cacio E Pepe won’t taste good as a leftover but super good esp if you like Alfredo. They offer free valet at the front! They have an area also seating wise that’s dimmer and an area across the bar that has more light as well as beautiful outdoor seating. The waitresses are super sweet. There are limited options if you’re vegetarian and they have 2 mocktails which are really good.

Service: I reserved a table at this restaurant for a family dinner to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We were running late for our reservation and I called to let them know, their response felt as though they needed us to get there fast, then when we arrived we were told the table wouldn't be ready for another 25 minutes. We chose to wait for a table in the main dining area, as we kept waiting tables didn't seem to open up so we eventually decided to sit in the bar area. The service was sporadic. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, but they didn't offer any special treat. The bartender/waitress wasn't paying much attention to our order. Food: I mentioned I couldn't have cream when I asked about one of the dishes, so I asked for a different dish; however, she didn't tell me that the new dish came with cream. Usually, the dish isn't made with cream, so I didn't think to ask (it didn't mention it on the menu either). When we asked if it had cream, a different waiter said, Well, the real recipe doesn't call for it, but ours does have cream. If you want, I can make you the real version. When I finally received it, it was pretty bland and disappointing, considering I had been waiting a long time to try this restaurant. Atmosphere: since we ended up sitting near the bar instead of in the main dining room, the vibe was very different and not as fun as in the main dining room. When we got the bill, we were charged for the replacement pasta dish and had to send it back for review. Overall, I was extremely saddened that this didn't result in the celebration I had planned for my husband.
