Great market, great customer service, particularly Deboria and Betty and Jacob always shine and delight. I knock one star merely for the sake of pickles. They were out of pickles at the burger line: mind you this is the same market where local restaurants will come to restock food items if they run out of stock, so I went and bought a jar of pickles for my burger. A snarky employee mentioned that they should probably just shut down the whole production line, a couple of times he mentioned this. Sushi is always gas, if you need any adjustments the sushi chefs are always lightening fast to accommodate.

I don’t like the way this location treats their black customers who spend their hard earned money. The short Hispanic lady who stood by the door continued to stare at me and my family while we were checking out and we also saw her say goodbye to 2 families who were of course white, but as soon as we walked out she didn’t say a word and gave us a look. I will never spend another dime here!

Very Wow. No telling what you'll see here people in velvet suede slippers, about every ethnicity, many languages spoke. Beautiful well taken care of women shop here. Products and selection were unimaginable for most. This place is nice, nice you'd have to be pretty well off to shop here a lot.

For anyone in Dallas who takes food seriously, Central Market on Lovers Lane is much more than a grocery store; it is a true destination for culinary excellence. The moment you step inside, it is clear that quality and freshness are the top priorities across every single department. The meat and seafood markets are particularly impressive, offering a level of quality that is hard to find elsewhere in the city. The fishmongers and butchers provide an incredible selection of prime cuts and sustainably sourced catches, ensuring that whatever you bring home is of the highest possible standard. This commitment to excellence extends directly into the bakery, where the aroma of artisanal bread fills the air. Every loaf is baked fresh daily, featuring that perfect, crusty exterior and soft, airy middle that rivals the best boulangeries. The deli counter serves as the heart of the store’s prepared offerings, providing a massive variety of meats, cheeses, and chef-prepared sides that never taste mass-produced. Everything feels vibrant and thoughtfully made, which makes it the perfect stop for a quick lunch or a high-end dinner party spread. Of course, no trip to Central Market is complete without picking up a container of Pam’s Pimento Cheese. It has earned its reputation as a local staple for a reason. It strikes the perfect balance between a creamy base and sharp, savory cheddar, making it a versatile treat that works just as well on a gourmet burger as it does on a simple cracker. It is, quite simply, the best pimento cheese in Texas. Central Market on Lovers Lane remains a shining example of what a grocery experience should be, combining an unrivaled selection of fresh goods with a genuine passion for great food.

We love getting groceries here, but their prepared foods have been a bust for us lately. Very pretty to look at but tasteless — this last time we did herbed acorn squash, Asiago Mac and cheese, turkey cranberry meatballs, and sliced turkey. It all looked great but had no taste. We threw it out. Will not be picking up dinner here anymore. Also, watch their pre-packaged meats for nitrites. Smoked turkey legs and ham hock has them.
