  I truly enjoy and I’m dedicated to this location ONLY because of the variety/quality of merchandise, awesome service and friendly attentive staff. Things has definitely changed since the grand opening on July 17, 2002. My mother was so excited because we are shoppers and had heard nothing but great things about CM. Mom transitioned June 11, 2002 therefore she wasn’t in attendance but my family was. It was so much fun and you could not find parking. I had NEVER witnessed so many oranges from so many countries, cities and states., Everything was fabulous and you felt welcomed. I moved away but I still drive back weekly to patronize CM Lovers Lane. Their soups are the best!!!!!!! The gumbo is something to brag about. That’s why I make the drive. However, it is no longer consistent!!!! One month I spent approximately 165.00 in gumbo alone and I live in the downtown area; that’s a drive. Please follow the “RECIPE “. Thanksgiving day it was so greasy I decided to return it. It also taste as though they just added water to stretch an already seasoned broth. The flavor be lost even though you can taste the seasonings. I understand it’s not CM fault when people fish out all of the meat. I love the stock when it’s prepared CORRECTLY. Their is a brown rue and a reddish rue if you hadn’t paid attention; I enjoy them both. Please don’t ever add all of that rice (filler)!like Midway does it’s horrible for “me”. True gumbo normally has rice was n the side for those that want to add it. I WILL taste the gumbo from this day forward before purchasing. I don’t like doing that neither do I get pleasure from returning anything it’s embarrassing. I also can not afford to waste money in this economy. CM has an awesome Gumbo when it’s prepared CORRECTLY please remember every cup is paid for and purchased because a customer wants it and deserves CM BEST in every cup. The tres leches cake has also changed . Please make sure the cake has been thawed out before selling it. It’s embarrassing purchasing a cake for an office birthday and when served it’s frozen. I love CM Lovers Lane you’re the best that’s why I’m telling you what can definitely be corrected we all make mistakes . CM Here’s your opportunity to correct it !!!!! I love everything about your location the others are good but they can’t compare.

  I had such an amazing experience at the Chef’s Case thanks to Derek. His customer service skills are amazing and he made me feel like top priority. I even mentioned to him that I was vegetarian and he suggested Mushroom Carnitas to me which it looks and tastes like meat but is 100% vegetarian. I was so amazed by this and it’s even changed my life. I never knew something plant-based could be so good.

  I had the most lovely experience here this past Friday. I had the opportunity to meet Chef Billy! I had wanted tamales & there weren’t any out & haven’t been for 2 weeks. Guess who made it happen within 20 min? That’s right the one and only chef Billy. He was so kind & easy to talk to. Just a total gem on a human. Looking forward to seeing him the next time I visit! He was superb! I did self check out and I was making a bunch of mistakes. You had a lovely lady named Patty that was subbing from midway store. She could not have been any nicer! Never once did she act out out she had a smile on her face the entire time & she was helping 7 other customers. Just wanted you guys to know that your employees make shopping at CM so great. I love your food & selections as well. But great staff from butchers to the people making fabulous sandwiches. Great attitudes!!

  I love Central Market - Lovers. Been coming since they opened. But there seems to be a culture issue there. I have never experienced rude or dismissive service there as much as recently - at the express checkout near the cold food area, and at the Grill. I am seeing it more and more at this location. Either there is a lack of oversight, or interest ... as it's a busy place. But come on guys ... it's a service business and a products at a premium. If you don't like servicing people, you shouldn't be there.

  I shop at this grocery store only because it is close to where I live. Unfortunately, the customer service-particularly at checkout- is consistently poor. On February 7th, I checked out with a cashier whose name I did not catch. He had a mark on the right side of his face (not mentioned in a discriminatory way). The cashier was extremely slow, unfriendly, and rude. There was no greeting, no effort to assist, and I ended up bagging all of my own groceries. It felt like I was doing his job for him that he was getting paid for. If customers are expected to do the work themselves, I don’t understand the purpose of having a cashier at all. The attitude at checkout was unpleasant and made the entire experience frustrating. Going forward, I will avoid the cashier line whenever possible. Disgusting customer service like this discourages customers from returning. If someone is unhappy in their role, they should not take it out on customers who are simply trying to shop.
