  Was looking for a restaurant in town that served prime rib. Didn't think I would hit this diamond in the rough. First time here, won't be the last. After calling, was able to get a walk in before peak time. The valet was quick, polite, and responsible. The place is just like an amazing house with floors, rooms, and decor was bright but intimate. The hosts were nice and promptly got us seated. After we got seated, John helped us go over the menu. The service was amazing (also from the other wait staff who were continuously there to see if we needed anything). We ordered the tortellini and escargot. Sauce was amazing. The ceasar has fresh anchovies! Lil John was the man, experienced, well versed, friendly, and attentive. Before our mains came, James came over and welcomed us. Amazing, welcoming, and just an all around a genuine guy. Prime rib itself was great, had a good beefy flavor with au jus and horse radish sauce. The crust from being marinated was delightful. Potatoes were good too, almost like home fries with caramelized onions. (Forgot to take a pic). Would call ahead to see if they have though. Dessert, I am a fan of peanut butter cups, so we got that one, but they all looked pretty tasty and decadent. Overall the experience was, pleasant, comforting, you could hear (not loud), food was great, and would definitely recommend if you are in town.

  I went with a group of friends for my birthday on April 12, 2026. TRAVIS!! Was amazing! He was my server and he made our experience there a memorable one! He was super attentive and very polite. The crab cakes were to die for, Travis recommended me this Filet Cap (I forgot the name lol) but I asked for medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be visiting here whenever I have the chance and I will always ask for Travis. Please do yourself a favor when you dine here at Al Bernaits and ask for Travis to be your server, you will NOT REGRET IT! Once again, Al Bernaits and Travis, thank you so much for such a memorable birthday! Oh and P.S. They have one of the best crème brûlées and I’m very critical when it comes to my favorite dessert and they knocked it out the park with their version of it!

  Had lunch at Al Biernat's North and it was a great experience. The steak was cooked perfectly with a great sear, and the sweet potato sauce paired with it really well. Atmosphere felt like a proper high-end steakhouse without being over the top. Our waiter was very friendly and took great care of us the whole time. Service was a little slow to start, but once we got going everything flowed smoothly. Also ended up spotting someone well known, which made it a fun lunch overall.

  I visited Al Biernat's North after having heard over the years how exceptional the food and service are. Needless to say I had high expectations. I attended as part of a work function and ordered from their lunch menu. The service was very professional and it is clear from the moment you enter that service is top priority and every detail of the experience has been considered. The crab cakes were light and delicious and the calamari were also great and paired very well with the sauces. For my appetizer I had the crab and corn chowder which was very good and had a generous amount of crab chunks. I loved it. It was rich and flavorful but not too filling. For my entree I was excited to try the Chicken Piccata. The flavors were wonderful and had the chicken not been undercooked I would have eaten every bite. For dessert I had the key lime pie. It was excellent and a great end to the meal. I would definitely recommend Al-Biernats. Just check the chicken before you eat. I have not been able to stop thinking about the texture of consuming raw chicken. The staff were very polite and apologetic when addressing the issue. They offered to remake the food but unfortunately not until the end of our meal when the service was being cleared and dessert was being brought out.

  I cannot say enough about this fabulous restaurant. I have been wanting to go for a long time and my husband surprised me for my birthday. Chris, our server was attentive, helpful and courteous (especially since my husband kept getting his name wrong). What a great sport! We had the smoked salmon for an appetizer, I had sea bass, and my husband had the aged prime rib. Each dish was perfectly prepared. The managers Marty and James stopped by our table visiting and making sure we were well taken care of. Lastly, Chris brought us a lovely tiramisu for my birthday! Even though we were full, we somehow managed to find room for the delicious dessert. This was our first visit but won’t be our last! Thank you Al Biernat’s!
