Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- DKDayla Kelley2 days ago5.0The food was fresh. It took about 14 minutes to get our drive through order. They forgot an order of fries but it was our fault for not double checking the food before driving off.
- RWRebecca WhittleyApr 2, 20261.0Make sure you look at your transactions before you leave this restaurant. I was charged twice in error and was not told that I was double charged. The next day is when I noticed I had been charged twice. I called and spoke with a manager by the name of Andrew and I was told that I have to wait for both transactions to clear before they can void the incorrect transaction. This is absolutely ridiculous! They should have been able to void the invalid transaction on their system but of course that requires them to actually do something to help a customer, so now I’m stuck with a double charge until they both clear. You just lost me as a customer!

The patties are always burnt, sandwiches are dry and slapped together (the quality of food over all went downhill), and our orders are messed up every single time now. If this an indication of how it is going to be since they sold out, then we are done being customers.

One dollar bought you a hamburger, fries, and a drink. I stopped at this Whataburger because my grandson asked for the meal. I'm 75 years old now and very healthy; I haven't eaten any hamburger meals in about 20 years. I paid close to 20 dollars for his meal. Maybe one day I will return to Harlingen and see if the building is still there.
