Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Growing up in the Lower Rio Grande Valley, my brother and I used to drive to the Whataburger in Harlingen, Texas, back in 1965. One dollar bought you a hamburger, fries, and a drink. I stopped at this Whataburger because my grandson asked for the meal. I'm 75 years old now and very healthy; I haven't eaten any hamburger meals in about 20 years. I paid close to 20 dollars for his meal. Maybe one day I will return to Harlingen and see if the building is still there.

Worst Whataburger I’ve ever been to sitting in the drive-through right now. It has been 15 minutes and I still have not gotten my food. As I’m typing this, the manager came out and just told me it will be three more minutes.
Edit: 24 minutes to get food in the drive thru

It's always the same with that restaurant. I ordered food for delivery and they didn't send my drinks. Their solution was to tell me they had no way to deliver them and that I had to go get them myself. The reason I ordered them was because I couldn't go out to get the food.

Always great. Drive thru speed is a desperately needed improvement for all whataburgers across the country.

I am kinda partial to the French Fries at Whatburger. Don't ask me why, I just love them! I can eat them by themselves without any ketchup! I know that sounds off, but it's something about just the right amount of salt on freshly cooked French fries that hits the right spot after eating them. Haven't you ever had a craving for just fries by themselves?
