- JJJeremyNov 7, 20251.0Papa John’s is a sad fragment of the place I loved as a kid. We ate it from a different store at a friend’s house on Halloween and the pizza was pretty good. They had ordered a Philly special and we ate it up. Ordered here and first thing I noticed compared to our usual favorite, Dominos, was the delivery time was so much longer! It’s just up the road from Dominos so it’s not a distance thing- they are just slow! So then it says delivering like 10 minutes before the delivery window and I got my hopes up. Then it proceeds to be delivering for 20+ minutes finally coming well after the states delivery window. Checked out the order and no ranch with Philly pizza, garlic knots were dry as a bone except on the bottom of the wax paper they sit on, pizza is lukewarm. Oh and the order cost me $50 for a large special, large one topping, and garlic knots. I didn’t need large but that’s the only coupon they offered and unlike Dominos, they don’t offer the ability to pay extra to get one of their 6.99 special mediums as a specialty pizza. Our family decided it’s back to Dominos! One and done experiment.
