I find it hard to believe that Fertitta signed off on this menu, or at a minimum signed off on someone that’s in charge of this menu. The Landry’s name used to mean something more. Highlighting a trash fish like tilapia as your feature is deplorable. Being on the gulf coast and serving farm raised shrimp and catfish is an abomination to the “seafood” industry. I just couldn’t bring myself to order what I would’ve liked to, so I had the seafood gumbo. I tasted butter, burnt flour, and farm raised shrimp. The seafood pasta my wife had reminded us both of Campbell’s canned noodles mixed with mediocre seafood. She ordered a raspberry lemon drop. It was about 3/4 of what it should’ve been in volume, but a decent mix. The positives, and ONLY REASON I’m not giving this a 1 star rating: the oysters on the 1/2 shell were great, and Vanessa as a server was outstanding. I don’t recommend this place, unless McDonald’s is closed.

I came here to visit family and stopped by to eat here. I tried the snapper which was almost a $50 plate. I wish it would have been better. The rice was kind of cold, like it had been sitting for a while and the fish itself was super dry. I thought it would be in a sauce or have something added to it for the price to keep it from being so dry. The customer service is great and the staff is super helpful just didn't think the food was all that great. I've tried this restaurant in different cities and never had any complaints so I thought this would have been just as good but sad to say I was disappointed. I also tried the calamari which also wasn't the best appetizer I've had so that didn't make it any better.

Husband and I had a late lunch, we were waited on by Arturo. He attended to all our needs and made menu recommendations . Very friendly and professional, our seafood platter was amazing, and wrapped up with delicious chocolate cake. Thank Arturo for making our lunch wonderful. Note: To manager check on all your guest next time , he never greeted us or acknowledge us. Very unprofessional.

Went here for the second time to enjoy the new year and was disappointed with both experiences.
Both times, the food was subpar. For a restaurant that promotes itself as knowing its way around seafood there’s a lack of pride when it comes to cooking their food. What we ordered was the chefs rec and house specialty Maple-Bourbon Glazed Salmon and Blackened Redfish Ettouffe. Both were overcooked and rubbery. High expectations and man was it a let down. I feel sorry for the fish that had to die for that meal. Our servers have been attentive each time - Ryan was great. But the other major issue besides our food was the manager. When I calmly stated our issue, it was like talking to someone who didn’t want to be there let alone be attentive to their guests. She heard what I had to say and told us she’d make an adjustment. Little did I know it’d only be $20. She didn’t even come back to apologize again or talk to us one last time before we left to assure that we’d leave happy. Out of all the high end restaurants that I’ve worked at and been a customer at, never have I seen such lack of respect. I hope it wasn’t because we weren’t White because I see other posts praising a certain manager. I unfortunately didn’t catch her name but she worked during the morning and had blonde hair.
I had a short discussion with her as we were leaving and told her my dissatisfaction with her service and all she had to say was “Well I gave you an adjustment.”
I honestly don’t know how she got to this position. Maybe it’s because she’s been in the industry long enough to know how everything works but she forgot how to talk to people that day which leaves us to now, never coming back nor recommending anyone to come to this restaurant.
I’d suggest to go to the Mariner for a proper night out by the water with delicious food and even greater service, instead.

We eat here 3-4 days a week. The staff is so friendly and helpful! They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. I have never had food I did not like here. All the food is absolutely amazing!!!!! The atmosphere is perfect!!! It is on a floating barge on the water so the views are fantastic!!!! This Landrys is my favorite one of their restaurants, and we have eaten at a lot of them.
