- DDD DMar 8, 20261.0I usually have great experiences here. This is the closest HEB to my home. I was in today to pick up some meds for severe pain and infection from impacted wisdom teeth at the pharmacy this morning. I've had a rough 3 days with little sleep. Spent hours in the ER until 3 am today. Decided to shop while getting Rx filled. Nobody to help bag items today, I accidentally left my phone at the register while bagging items. I didn't realize until I got to the Dollar Tree. I came back to see if I had leftit and the Cashier said no, then on my way out, I decided to ask the lady at the self checkout if she could call my phone for me. She didn't even want to. (This was between 11:20 to 11:30 am). She said one phone had been turned in, I asked her how long ago and told her it had a light pink case. She said NO, NOT YOURS. I asked to at least see it and she said No, and that I can't check until 12:00 in the afternoon. I stopped a customer and ask her to please call my phone while standing by the service desk. And it rang. It was painfully obvious that it was my phone. And I told the lady in the self-checkout area to please go get my phone from the service desk. She then got very rude with me when she told me that the color of my case was not pink and that it was nude. She was very rude and did not show any type of empathy about the situation. She actually ARGUED my phone case color! It would be nice if somebody could figure out who that lady was and have a conversation with her. Phones are very important parts of people's lives and she acted as if I was a nuisance, not a customer. I am pretty sure she would like somebody to show some compassion if she had misplaced her phone. Also my phone screen is shattered and it was not before I was at the checkout. That is pretty frustrating as well. I'm a regular customer for YEARS. I cannot believe the lady acted like that about my phone. I use my phone for transactions and it's a main part of my employment.
