Our family has been coming to this specific saltgrass since 2015, and we have watched its decline. The last 5-10 times we’ve been here the service (wait times), and food has been terrible. I haven’t had a fresh Caesar salad in several visits. Consistently served with tons of brown lettuce, and no more shaved Parmesan. The garden salad shows up with less and less toppings. Now it’s just lettuce cheese and croutons. It used to be lettuce, cheese, tomato, onion, cucumber and croutons. The steaks are always over cooked and seem like terrible cuts of meat compared to the past.
Our waitress was nice but service was SOO SLOW… took 20 min just to get our salads. And they were not busy at all. And the music is TOO LOUD.
Just sad that our go to place isn’t good anymore.

All the food at Saltgrass is great. The staff is exceptional and I can never stop eating the range rattlers. Kudos to the Chef that designed those. The veteran waiter, ERIC B., provided exceptional service and everything was just perfect. The way Mr. Tillman has his staff, conditioned on serving, removing finished plates and how the Servers help everybody. This is just the way a restaurant should be ran, compared to other restaurants I’ve been too, I would definitely copy his framework of business.

We arrived and checked in at Salt Grass 2:30 pm Christmas Day. Checking in no problem. We were told it would be an hour before we would be seated again no problem. They were very busy. I was watching the tables on my phone and when it got to us being 2nd I just confirmed with the hostess. She stated to me that we were indeed next . We watched 3 or 4 people after that go ahead of us . We were eventually seated in the bar area. The young waiter came to our table, To take our order and ask what we would like to drink. I had to ask for a drink menu. Upon doing so he came back with the bread, handed us two napkins cocktail napkins to put our bread on so I had to ask for some small plates. Then he took our drink order. It took 30 to 40 minutes to even receive our drinks. He came to the table and asked if there was anything he could do. I told him yes I was needing something to drink after eating the bread . He told me this is after 30 to 40 minutes, waiting for our drinks that he would have to go check to see if they've even started them. He comes back with our drinks then we place our order. The food came out in a reasonable time. I asked the young lady that brought our food out if she could bring me some steak sauce. 10 minutes later, he comes over to the table. I still have not received steak sauce. I asked him for steak sauce. It took another 15 minutes for me to receive steak sauce. Now there was another young man serving another table, and I was watching him and observing. . I needed a to go box. I asked him it took me five minutes that is all not even that for this young man to give me a to go box. The food was wonderful, but the young hostess was very rude and the young man waiting on our table was very unexperienced and really truly did not care to give us the time and attention that was Necessary. When you pay $100 for a meal, you expect to be treated with excellent service. I have been in the service industry for years and I completely understand how the restaurant business works. I tried to get a hold of a manager. I was motioning for her to come here she was leaning across the bar. She completely ignored me not once but twice. Upon us, walking out the door. She was behind us. I turned around and asked her name. Her name was Sarah. I did go on TikTok where I have a platform and I let people know exactly what happened and how I was treated. I was very disappointed in saltgrass steakhouse I felt disgusted with the whole experience. Also I did leave the young man a tip but had service been given correctly he would have received much more .

We had a take out order, in which my spouse went to pick up , the food was packaged correctly although there were 2?major issues….. the MAUDEEN’s filet was REALLY a tri-top sirloin NOT A FILET. I was also given creamy chimmichuri sauce instead of the traditional and was told that they were out of fried Zucchini. It was overcooked. although we ordered it Charred-Medium Rare. I could not chew the steak and that particular filet usually is so tender that it almost melts in your mouth. I have had it consistently in at least 3-4 locations ( especially in League City, Texas) and it was ALWAYS delicious, tender and perfectly cooked. To be fair, it was almost closing time. Regardless , when spending $80+ dollars and tipping $20…..well it’s MORE than disappointing when someone gives you a $20 CHEAPER cut of meat than what you paid for and ordered. The order was placed in person and I personally know this restaurant’s potential. It didn’t live up to expectations and potentially some dishonesty involved. Thank you for what was actually correct at this point, not much.

Went for Thanksgivibg, had reservations. Waited an hour after placing our orders, understand it was busy and we had a great waitress, only to be told they were out of Prim rib. Made other choices. Waited another long time only to be told that they ran out of mashed potatoes, so we said we would take baked but they were out of those too. So we got French fries that were fried in old grease and basically uneatable. For thirty some dollars a meal and not get what we ordered and the substitutes being un eatable we will never, and that means our whole party, be back. A waste of money, we would have gotten a better meal at Dennys. I must say our waitress was great.
