Sharing a warning about Tom Thumb Colleyville: Tom Thumb CV has a new punitive policy to limit customers to one Colleyville $35 gift card - per 24 hours per family. The problem isn’t the policy — it’s how they handle it. The city of Colleyville states the card is to be treated like cash by businesses and citizens can use multiple cards in one transaction - as we have done over the years with other businesses. Today before shopping, I asked the front desk manager, Wyatt, if there were accepting the CV gift cards and showed him my 2 gift cards. He said - yes, they are accepting the CV gift cards, reminded me they expire tomorrow (1/11) and the only exclusions were purchasing alcohol and other gift cards. Nothing was mentioned about a one-card-per-day limit. After a full shop (about $90) at checkout, I presented my 2 gift cards and was suddenly told I could only use one gift card and would need to come back tomorrow to use the second card. When escalated, both managers on duty (Wyatt and Trina) refused to honor what was stated upfront by Wyatt. There is no explanation or reason for the punitive policy other than "that's what corporate says"...supposedly. Being dishonest and withholding key information when asked directly is terrible customer service. This odd limitation should be clearly disclosed so customers aren’t blindsided at checkout. Posting so others are aware before shopping.  As many of you know, this location often has “pricing errors” for their posted prices and the staff are often totally unhelpful in customer service instances such as these.

Best Tom thumb I shop at. The quality of the offered items seems to be pretty good and fresh. I love using the app to shop and clip deals. I would give it 5 stars if Tom thumb offered all the healthy food options I desire. Since they don't, I still need to swing into a different store at times to get those other healthy choice items. Prices are very good though for the items offered, especially if you use the app with your phone number. The customer service at this one is also above average. If you shop Tom thumb close to this location, pick this one.

No customer service at all. No checkers, have to chase down someone to check you out. Not talking a few items but a basket full

I shop here frequently, everyone is nice and the pharmacy staff is amazing! However, the new general manager needs some help.. she closes registers and tills over an hour before close which then forces you to use self check out even if your cart is absolutely full. What’s the point of having employees in store if self checkout is the only option? Even her employees were dissatisfied with her! They said she is from walmart and dosent know how to do her job (clearly) and encouraged us to complain and write a review. Please don’t close every single register while many are still shopping it’s so inconvenient.

Wyatt from cusomer service was helpful- thus the more than 1 star rating. The specials are so confusing, they need to station someone like Wyatt on every row. Last week I got 4 cans of Hormel chili, since they were marked down from 3.99 to 2.79. At the front, they rung up for $3.99 apiece. I asked, and they said I needed to 'clip' the deal first. Tonight, I got 4 cans of Wolf Brand chili, since it was marked down similarly. I was determined to 'clip' the coupon on the app, so I'd get the sale price. It said no deals were available on this item. Wyatt explained it was a regular sale, so putting my phone number in at register would get it. Same tags with the little barcodes as the Hormel cans a few nights ago. Someone in corporate has figured out if they make customers jump through enough hoops, they'll be drawn in by the sale tag, and just live with paying full price at the register. Every deal, every day should be available to customers who've set up an account and enter their phone number.
