Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Many customers reported slow service, long wait times, and incorrect orders, particularly during drive-thru and in-store experiences.
Food Quality
While some customers praised the freshness and taste of the burgers and fries, others complained about cold, poorly assembled, or stale food.
Customer Experience
Several reviews highlighted positive interactions with specific staff members, but many others noted a lack of acknowledgment or poor attitudes from employees.
Consistency
There were mixed reviews regarding consistency, with some customers expressing disappointment in repeated poor experiences at this location compared to other Whataburger locations.
Cleanliness and Atmosphere
Feedback on cleanliness was varied, with some noting clean bathrooms and a welcoming atmosphere, while others mentioned issues with food safety and overall cleanliness.

Jaydon made the perfect burger. It was delivered hot. The vegies were spread out eveningly over the bun. I typically have to do that myself at other Whataburgers; so that, I have a bite of my burger with veggies in every bite and not just in the middle. Great job!!!

Worst whatabuger I’ve been to in a long time and I eat whataburger once a week. I said my order like 4 times they still got it wrong and then when I got a new burger cause the first one was wrong the new one was right but smashed and flooded with an abnormal amount of ketchup

I went through the drive-through and place the order and luckily checked it before I left. The parking lot was completely wrong and then when I went inside, stood at the counter for like five minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and even the manager looked at me and still didn’t even greet me or say anything to me Then I placed my order again and it still was incorrect horrible service 11/4 @ 9:29AM

I tried What a Burger and it was a hit! The buns were fresh, the ingredients were prepared with care, and the food had a nice flavor. You can add jalapenos to any burger for a spicy kick. The fries were fresh and well-seasoned. Although the sauces are extra, they're worth the splurge – the sauce bowls are generous compared to other restaurants.
