We had the bbq 29.99 option. They have a lot of variety of meats for that price. I also liked the ramen noodle bar. The food is marinated well. I really enjoyed the steamed egg. They don't have a dipping bar option. The staff was good. Getting a table was a bit slow and it wasn't busy at all. Our group was mixed onnthe lighting. It's a bit onnthe dark side. The restaurant itself is not very pretty.

This place takes advantage of first-time customers.
It was our first time trying Korean BBQ, and the waiter purposely did not explain how the pricing works. He had us order from both the $29.99 and $39.99 menus without clearly stating that if anyone chooses from the $39.99 tier, everyone at the table gets charged $39.99. That was never explained.
We thought we were just selecting different meats. Instead, we were locked into the highest price without proper disclosure.
I personally didn’t even eat the meat — I had white rice and a Diet Coke — and was still charged $39.99. When I brought it up, there was no accountability, no explanation, just a dismissive attitude.
$270 for confusing instructions and what feels like a deliberate upsell tactic is unacceptable. This business model relies on misleading new customers instead of earning repeat ones.
We will not be coming back.
Moodaepo Korean BBQ and overall had a good experience. The food was good, and its definitely a great place if you want to experience Korean BBQ for the first time.
The meats had decent flavor overall. The beef and chicken were enjoyable, though the flavor was just okay rather than outstanding. I wasnt very impressed with the pork, and the rice was a bit dry.
One thing I do appreciate is their no-waste policy, which encourages customers to only order what they plan to eat. Its a great concept that promotes responsibility and reduces food waste.
Good for the Korean BBQ experience and the fun of cooking at the table, but some items could use improvement in flavor and freshness.
My family and children come here all the time but this last time was disturbing. Food is always great however the service has always been shaky. There is a woman server there who is very sweet but seems to always respond with sorry we don’t have that, which leads me to ask a different server who in fact will grab it for you.
Secondly but most disturbing this last time we went with a family of 4 two adults and a 3 and 2 yr old. While eating I watched the lady shown in the picture get on shift about midway through our meal. She immediately starts to hover over our table right behind my girlfriend and kids. I notice but don’t say anything as I think she may just be supporting the other servers we have, however not once does she offer help or ask if anything is needed. We end up finishing our meal and ask for the check. As I’m walking up to the counter pay for the meal happily she fast walks to the lady at the counter from across the room and says something to her and walks away back to wherever she came from. I get to the counter and she gives me an astronomical price and I question it and the lady says it because you have meat leftover. Mind you we had been there pretty much the two hours allowed and watched several parties leave left over meat some substantially more. So I question the checkout lady and every time I ask a question about it she’s looking over at the older lady like she’s afraid to go against her word. So I comply and ask her if I finish the one salad of short rib can you remove the 10.99 charge for the left over meat and she says yes. By this time my children and girlfriend see the commotion and stand up with me. So we all sit back down so I can eat one slab of short rib. Once I sit back down she then decides to all of a sudden start helping the people sitting right next to us and watching us from the corner as I finish the food. I then walk back up to the counter once finished and then boom look who it is at the register the older lady. She then tried to charge me for two small string of bulgolgi the tried to charge me for both my children that are supposed to be free. I tell her my children are supposed to be free so then she tried to charge me for one and then I caught that as well and mentioned and she made the biggest disrespectful sigh. After 4 attempts to pay we were finally able to leave.
This lady has poorly represented this place that we have enjoyed so many times. We drive over an hour to get to this place and an hour back using tolls. I come to this place which is expensive over $30 to spend my hard earned money and in return I expect tasty food and service that makes us feel like we spent our money in the right place.
My family and I are mixed black and Hispanic and I don’t typically pull this card but this ladies attitude was so unprovoked and by looking around we seemed to be the only ones not of Asian decent. I believe she had a biased towards us which led to this interaction, and by the way the other employee was constantly looking at her when we had questions seems to me that this lady is unprofessional, biased, and has gone unchecked for her to make her paying customers feel this way. This older lady really wanted to provoke me that day by trying to change me every way she could even going out of her way.
Unspoken and unaddressed issues become assuring behavior, this lady needs to be fired and work behind a desk where she can’t visually see who she’s helping. Moodaepo do better please my friends, family, coworkers will not return anymore until this lady is no longer with yall.
Overall experience was good. We did the $30 option and got the LA Short Rib which was the best meat. You are limited to half a pound of the LA Short Rib but it was a good amount. Other than that, the spicy brisket wasn’t spicy. The kimchi was too fresh but the pickled cucumber was good. The fried rice was not really fried rice but it was just flavored rice. Don’t get the tteokbokki. Overall tho, the meat sizes were really good per portion and the servers were pretty attentive. Corn cheese was in small cute containers but it was the perfect size. They also had a Photo Booth in the restaurant which was fun to do ($10). The bulgogi was good - just kinda sweet.
