Maybe leftovers from yesterday. Or they have completely changed how they make bagels. Purchasing bagels at a grocery store would have been a better choice. If this is the new normal for Einsteins they will not be in business for long.

I came in during the morning rush and expected it to be busy, but the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and uninterested in helping customers. I stood in line for almost 15 minutes while employees chatted behind the counter instead of taking orders. When I finally ordered, they were already out of several basic items — including plain bagels — which is kind of ridiculous for a bagel shop before 10 a.m. The bagel I ended up with was stale and hard, and the cream cheese portion was tiny for what they charge. My coffee was lukewarm, tasted burnt, and definitely wasn’t fresh. To top it off, the seating area was dirty, with crumbs all over tables and trash overflowing. No one seemed to care about cleaning or customer service at all. For the price they charge, this was absolutely not worth it. I won’t be returning, and I’d recommend finding a local bagel spot instead if you actually want fresh food and decent service. $18 for two tiny MICROWAVED egg sandwiches? Ridiculous.
