The first time I ordered skirt steak for fajitas, the average advertised weight in the app was .75 lbs. You know what they gave me? .5 lbs. I'm like, what the hell is my wife going to do with this? So I had them go back and get another. The second time they did OK. This time I put in that I wanted 1 until but I needed at least 1.5 lbs and it was OK to add another one to get there. You know what they did? Gave me 2 units at slightly over .5 lbs each, bringing me up to 1.02 lbs. So now I have to send them back to get a third one. The girl who brought my groceries to the car wasn't the one who picked them and I knew that so I didn't yell at her. But I told her to tell her manager that if something is advertised as .75 and you are constantly spitting out .5, that's 50% off and unacceptable tolerance levels by any stretch of the imagination. And it was at that point I realized where we were on the timeline. Halfway between good customer service, and robots. We're stuck right in the middle in purgatory where the population has grown so large and globalization is such a damn problem we can't get good Stater Brothers level of customer service any more and we can't get robots either.
