I am a chef and it is one of the best places I have had breakfast and waffles so far. Great staff, excellent food. Most surely changing chain restaurant for this local eatery. Support your local businesses

Bad overall was there for almost three hours and didn’t even get my food. our server was rude and had attitude couldn’t accommodate a substitute that every server has before. Took 2 hours to get seated when we were already on the waitlist. then took another 50 mins to even get our food i had to leave before i could even see my food because i had work but our other party waited an additional 20 mins for our food we joined the waitlist at 12 didn’t get our food till 3 pm 3 hours for some eggs and avocado toast is absurd. even then the eggs were extremely overcooked and dry and everything else was way too seasoned it wasn’t enjoyable i won’t come back
Well well well, we discover this place way to late. I really loved the aclectic decor in both main halls. The patio in the back looks great with the seasonal flowers, shade and breeze. If you visit on the weekends additional parking available in the back closer to the river. Our host Emma was very helpful, she was spot on with the wait time. We got very lucky with our waitress Emily. She is on point! Manage to work ALL her tables with military precision. The food items are very good and the menu has some hidden jams. I would come back but not on the weekends. The wait for a table and the wait food was definitely worth it kudos to the back of the house.

Our server was great, sad to say that was the only thing good at this restaurant
Waffles were super dry, omelet was not very good and I think it was missing eggs it was thin not fluffy at all. Food looked good but taste was not. Beware looks can be deceiving. Even my coworkers did not like the food I was thinking it was me but even they did not like the food.
I called on a Tuesday to ask Water Street if they would be able to accommodate my group of 12 for a baby shower on Sunday at noon. The employee who answered told me they don’t take reservations but promised she would write us down on their schedule and ensured we would be seated within 30 minutes of our requested time.
I arrived on Sunday at 11:30am and checked in with the hostess. She says she sees our group on the schedule but lets me know it’s not a reservation. I tell her I understand as that’s what they told me on the phone along with the 30 minute time frame of being seated at our requested time.
She tells me she’ll take a note of that in our check in and will make it a priority to get us seated ahead of other groups. Fast forward 1 hour and 15 minutes later (12:45pm) I go back in to check with the hostess what our estimated wait time is and she was unable to tell me.
She gets the manager who then tells me it could be 30 more minutes. I reiterate what I was told on the phone about being seated within 30 minutes of our requested time and she tells me she has no idea who told me that because that isn’t their policy on the weekends (in a not so polite tone).
The manager doesn’t apologize or try to remedy the situation. Our group decided to leave and go across the street for lunch.
Overall, I was disappointed in the customer service I received. The employees and manager should have been more upfront and honest with their policy when I had called on the phone days prior instead of making a promise they could not fulfill. Instead, I wasted 1 hour and 20 minutes waiting on a table that was never available.
