Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Numerous reviews highlighted poor service, including rude staff, long wait times, and incorrect orders.
Food Quality
While some customers praised the food as delicious and fresh, many reported issues with cold or poorly prepared items.
Cleanliness
Several customers noted unsanitary conditions in the restaurant and bathrooms, contributing to a negative dining experience.
Staff Attitude
Many reviews mentioned unprofessional behavior from staff, including lack of enthusiasm and rudeness towards customers.

I was overly impressed with cleanliness, the friendly staff who engaged my wife & I when we walked through the door, and how quick the food was. The staff was not only friendly with the customers but with each other. I also noticed none of the staff was idle at any point during my visit to include a worker washing the outside windows! The on shift manager, Dee, is doing a terrific job and is running a tight ship!

I am a native Texan, so of course I love Whataburger. My favorite fast food breakfast is an egg & cheese sandwich (with fried egg) and an egg & cheese biscuit (with scrambled egg). I love it. Their burgers and fries are top notch too.
I visit Beaumont from time to time. I have family in the area.
This location in the center of town is the worst Whataburger I've ever eaten at anywhere. I'm not even basing that off of one visit. I have had the misfortune of eating here three times. Each time I approached the restaurant from a different road and direction and thought it was a different location.
Each time the restaurant has been grimy. The staff have been less than enthusiastic. Worst off all was the food. All three times the burgers were disgusting. Old wilted veggies and an overcooked dry gross patty. Just terrible.
There's a Whataburger in Liberty on the way to Beaumont that we often stop at. It's great.
Just do yourself a favor. If you're in Beaumont, do NOT go to this Whataburger.
