Wanted to get a roll of quarters. Employee stated there is a fee to exchange money. I ignored the comment and asked for 20$ of roll of quarters. When employee asked for money I handed him 20$ and then he asked for 70 cents. When questioned how that makes sense, employee stated “I’m providing a service”. I don’t get a discount to check out my own groceries or return my cart. What fee is there to exchange money? Since when does swapping legal money for legal money become “a service”. The employee came across as arrogant and rude (to me) because he can’t understand exchanging money. And the manager who previously did not charge me 4 months ago, also tried to explain the fee. Crazy that now knocking on a door asking someone to hand them quarters is now a service. Thanks for your service Jesus and Kacey. Went to Walmart and got 20$ in quarters for 20$. Not 20.70 —— Response to owner: I don’t need to complain further to your number. You need to quit charging people to swap legal tender for legal tender. The fact your store even does this is ridiculous. Just another fee to stick it to your customers. What’s next? Gonna charge us for shopping bags like they do in Delaware? This ain’t Delaware.

I’m really tired of wasting my money at this heb, you buy meat and 2-3 days later it’s no good, every time, never fails! Management needs to start labeling the meat that’s about to expire so customers will stop wasting their money on spoiled food. I’m to the point of just doing all my grocery shopping at Kroger, at least they mark down food that’s going to be expiring soon, better deal on milk and meat just by driving a little further, and my meat nor milk go bad driving that far. I live 3 minutes from your store, please enlighten me, how does this keep happening and why does management keep allowing this? Do better heb, I can honestly say, your store is the only store I’ve ever had issues with buying groceries from and wasting my money on. Upon reading your reviews, it seems it’s normal practice to sell spoiled food or food that’s about to spoil! I’ll take my hard earned money else where!

The Bay City store has been in the renovation phase for over a year. I understand that the store needed new freezers but they continue to move products and whole isles around to the point that you can't find the items that you want. The product moves don't make any sense where they end up. All of this inconvenience to the customers has not improved anything for the customers. I think the store actually looses money because customers just give up hunting for items. This store continues to be well behind other HEB stores. It seems the customers are not the main reason for the changes.
