  We’re new to Bastrop and have been on the hunt for a good Vietnamese restaurant and Lab C Food Kitchen did not disappoint! I have pretty high standards when it comes to Asian food, and I can honestly say they delivered so well. We started with the shrimp and pork egg rolls, and wow they were big, super flavorful, and served piping hot. I ordered the All-in-One Pho and it was delicious, hearty broth, tender meats, and very comforting. My husband got the beef stir fry with fried rice, and everything on his plate was packed with flavor. The beef was tender with that nice grilled taste, and the sauce and fried rice were both really good. Plus, the portions were generous definitely not stingy! A special shout-out to Helen, who took care of us from the moment we walked in until we left. She was warm, welcoming, and just amazing overall. We’ll definitely be recommending Lab C Food Kitchen and will absolutely be coming back!

  Preface: Eating here will not suddenly cause the name of the restaurant to make sense. It's not like you walk in and say, "Oh, that's what it means..." which is probably for the best. Summary: It's an order-at-the-counter Vietnamese pho and noodle joint with a crazy name. But the food is very good quality. The menu is pretty standard and nothing jumps out at me that would make this place legendary or anything. But if you want a solid bowl of pho or plate of noodles, this place has you covered. Pros: The owner is often there and making the food shoulder-to-shoulder with the cooking staff, so it's a very real family enterprise. I wanted a particular combination noodle dish that wasn't on the menu and they accommodated the request without question. Cons: I was low on cash and needed to pay with my phone which they don't support. Fortunately, the owner was there and he let me pay him direct. But you can't and shouldn't expect that to be available when you go. So be sure to have traditional funding sources available. The price is typical in these times of rampant inflation. Budget $20 per adult. You'll probably come in a little under that.

  First time visiting. This place was great. Our server Benny was amazing and did a great job at making me and my husband feel welcome and enjoy our evening. Had a small hiccup with the ordering system and the kitchen but it was quickly solved and we got a delicious meal that we very much enjoyed.

  All around amazing from wonderful atmosphere to welcoming and gracious service to the incredibly delicious food - all the way to the top! The grilled chicken is succulent while crispy with the char marks, stri fry veggies are done exactly on point and the rice serving size is just as impressive as delicious, level 3 spice is just the right kick of spicy without overpowering flavors of the meal itself. New permanent marker whenever I'm making it into the area, bet on that.
