Crazy. I’ve been in twice to get Thanksgiving gift cards. 100 of them @ 50$ each. Yesterday I was 20 mins early for the service counter. They turned me away. Told me to come back after 10am or tomorrow. Today I come in after 10 and it opens at noon. I asked the manager if they could make an exception so I do not have to come back a 3rd time. No dice. She turned me away and walked off. Every year I get 100 each at 50$. I always have to make 3 trips because they will only sell 2k at one time. Looks like next year I will go somewhere else. You would think for the amount of my purchases someone would give me some actual help over and above what they are required to do. Just disappointing really. I thought better of HEB before this year. I’ll get Visa gift cards next year and HEB can keep their lack of compassion for anything above necessity

This HEB is clean, well lit, well stocked. The baked chicken seems to always be stocked (many locations sell out by mid-afternoon. They even accept tap-to-pay at self-checjout and the register. I can't find anything to complain about ...and I'm really good at complaining!

Lines are always long for cashier check-outs. More cashier lines needed. Out of 4 lady bathroom stalls, 2 were broken and closed causing a line out the door.

Good store and has what you need however the employees apparently think the family bathroom is a private employee bathroom. Everytime i come here with my Daughter, we have to wait on what ends up being an employee to come out.

A lot of reading - context: assumed shoplifter by heb staff I was at this HEB on October 31st to do some food and beauty product shopping. Well, I learned on this day that you cannot be an indecisive shopper in lounge clothes, specifically in the beauty isle. While in the beauty isle I was asked if I “needed help” over 5 times in less than 10 minutes by 2 of the heb employees; I will spare writing their names because I’m almost sure one is a minor. Back to the situation; Some may not know the implications of the “can I help you find something” question, but it is not a genuine inquiry of needing help. The first time I was asked by the younger/teen aged lady, I replied no, but when I noticed the she was moving in sync with me, it was pretty obvious what she was implying. She proceeded to ask me if I needed help again 2 times after that. After the teen aged girls third inquiry, an older woman (with scarecrow makeup) approached me asking if I needed help finding something with a stern and aggressive tone. I replied, no, there is nothing you can help me find (by this point I was already aware of their assumptions and agitated). Instead of walking away, both employees stood steps away from me staring and talking (about what I don’t know), but they were watching my every move. The older lady proceeds to ask again if she can help me find something. At that point I let them know I’m insulted by their implied assumptions and walked away. Unfortunately as a black woman, this has happened plenty of times so I know what it looks and feels like. I may be completely dressed down, but I can assure you I pay for everything I put in my basket. For additional context, I had no pockets on any of my clothing (tights, t shirt and a light jacket), my purse was completely clear and I had a hand basket not a cart. I am a member of this community and come to this HEB multiple times a week. Going forward, I will forego buying any beauty products from this store just to avoid being embarrassed like that again. I implore any other people that racially identify as black/AA do your beauty shopping elsewhere.
